Was really trying to find the torque specs, and you had them... thanks! Looks like that job was done on a 2000 vehicle. I think the 01-06 is higher at 80-85, but thanks for confirming the T55 torx bolts are 30.

The T55's NEVER come off that easy. They have thread lock applied. So how did you really deal with that?
@bullstuff3938

T55 means you need a 55lb sledge hammer to get them loose!

PB Blaster and 1/2 inch drive breaker bar with T55 bit and be patient BTW I even tried High Torque Cordless Impact (18v Li-Ion Battery) it busts the lug nuts free but wouldn't budge the stubborn T55 bolts

You forgot to mention that one brake pad has a missing metal tab on it and what position it is installed on. Now I have to watch someone elses video to find that out.

At the beginning there was a grease cap on the end of the axle upon installing new rotor and brake pads, there was no dust cover /grease cap is it not needed or why was it taken off?
@1AAuto
@1AAuto 6 лет назад
+Craig Smith If your vehicle has a dust cap, is should be placed back on once the repair has been made. 1aauto.com

When you were matching old and new parts, i guess you didn't notice old pads had 1 wear indicator on 1 pad. New pads had two wear indicators on pad on right side of video and 1 indicator on left picture. am i mistaken?

You say to torque the lug nuts to 100 ft-lbs, but the owner’s manual says to torque them to 140 ft-lbs. Why the difference?

Verifiy the torque spec for the caliper mounting (guide pin) bolts if watching this video. The specifcation for a 2004 Silverado 1500 4WD T55 torx bolts is 80 ft-lb not 30 ft-lb as stated in the video.

Yall are gonna kill someone the torque specs for the caliper bracket after taking off the rotor is 139 foot Lb. and the caliper is 80 foot Lb. Also the lug nuts are to be torqued to 140 foot Lb. This is not safe at all. Please dont follow their torque specs, the results could be catastrophic.
