Awesome video! The depth and detail you do into in your videos is great. A video on replacing weatherstripping on doors and windows would be much appreciated!
@@BroncosandPartsGarage good videos where are you located at cz am in tx. Cz I got a 88 bronco that it needs some repairs and am looking for a good mechanic that specializes in ford mainly.
I’ve been trying to find out how to swap my coils on my 96 Ranger, and I’m so glad they included the part with sway bar brackets! That might be the extra thing I need to do in order to get my spring more uncompressed! Thanks!
@@BroncosandPartsGarage It worked! I couldn't hold the spring in place when installing the new one (while also trying to pump the jack), so I zip-tied the spring coil on the top seat to hold it in place, and pumped the jack till it aligned with the lower foot, and BINGO it worked! Thank you!!!
I'm thrilled to find your channel. I have a 94 tobago green XLT that's been sitting for a while. First order of business this spring is a broken driver's seat bracket that is permanently reclined. I appreciate your effort putting this content together for us.
I drive an 2006 civic on bad pothole rural roads. The suspension holds up surprisingly well. As long as you dont need more than like 2" of clearance. I also have an f250. And i tuned this vid for a reason
just a great vidéo, and just at the right time for me. I have 1990 EB i want to work on. Having no particular knowlege in but learnig from book and a lot of utubing. Many thanks and the best for 2022. Excuse my english, i'm from Québec
I’m not seeing many videos on it but you need to do a video on the push button 4x4 system, what tends to go bad/what you should be replacing and how to service various parts of said system including transfer case issues.
We have a video on removing the bezel, which would cover replacing the switch if they go bad. We also have a video on replacing tcase fluid. That said, the BW1356 are VERY robust and even went behind diesel trucks. Swapping the electric motor is pretty straight fwd but we may do one. If you grenade a tcase, I’d just swap them out. We actually sell used for $50ea and manual tcase for $150ea. We scrap 5-10 a year. Nobody buys them… for the aforementioned reasons.
So maybe you can point me in the right direction then? My four-wheel-drive works more often when it’s warm outside. Winter it has a hard time engaging. Have to command multiple times. Solenoid clicks. But doesn’t go right away.
1993 Ford f150 5.0...142,000 on the clock.. Wrestled with this job just yesterday...My "King bolt" DIDN'T come off THAT easy...Even after soaking it in Seafoam Deep Creep penetrating oil...Had to postpone the job...On certain parts, do go with CHEAP no-name brand like I used...The coils didn't fit...Too much "Curl" on both ends...No flat or straight end at the top...Now, I have to send them back and go thru that dang hassle with UPS....
nice vid. need to do ball joints from a 95 f150. everything is oem. thinking about getting springs. just not sure its needed. yes 4x4 and take alot of fire wood trips. loaded up
Another great vid. Milwaukee AND Dewalt (did that help?). Great timing I was just about to do the Rough Country 1.5" leveling springs and new shocks on mine.
I’ve got a 95 f150 5.8 with quad shocks. What part number on the coil shock for verification on the bronco graveyard site? There’s seems to be no coil springs anywhere that specify “for quad shock option”. I’ve heard a standard coil spring could rub on one of the shocks. Great video, thanks!
@@BroncosandPartsGarage thank you I have a 2wd f150 95 the radius arm is good but the bolt for brushing is damaged so I got a new arm from amazon but the local shops where I live is picky about the older trucks so I’m planning on during
Thanks for the helpful video! Just did my coil springs on my 1994 Ford Bronco and it helped immensely. Wondering if you have any suggestions about why my Bronco might still be riding like hell, even after doing shocks and springs? Bilstein B8-5100 shocks and Superlift Springs.
I'm installing 3.5 "lift spindle but can't find a coil spring like size for my 97 ford f150 2wd only see 2" coils look for 4" don't have for my 97 5.4 can I use the 2" coil with a 1.5" spacer is this do-able 🤔
I have a 86 f150 with about 130,000 miles. It was driven two thirds of the time on good road and one third of the time on rougher road. How do I know if my coil springs are still good.
I would look at the springs while parked to see if any coils are broken or touching. Then look at the axle snubber and see how close to the beam it is. That help should determine if they are bad. Based on the price of coils and ease of installation, I’d replace 36 year old springs.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage I have an 89 bronco I have Taken most of it apart with hands tools and a black and decker matrix 1/4 driver lol yellow will be coming soon
This is a great video, but you should really use a spring compression clamp. It's incredibly dangerous to compress the spring with a jack before securing the top portion to the bucket. That spring could have slipped out and killed you or your camera man. Just my .02
Fortunately, per the video, we had secured the bottom of the spring (captured via Oem bolt/washer) eliminating the possibility of the spring exiting the perch. It was only under a few pounds of compression as well. But we are down for safety nonetheless. Thanks for watching.
My suspension seems like it's not dropping all the way to out the new spring in like I have to push hard down onto the rotor and still not enough clearance to out the spring in
@Broncos and Parts Garage yeah i disconnected the shocks My truck doesn't have a front sway bar , I had to have a buddy stand on the rotor to push it down so I could put the coil in place
I still use team Armstrong. I plan on putting the Moog cc844 F250 2wd springs on my 95 F150(just to level it) but was worried about breaking the 1 1/8 nut loose at the bottom. Mine is a Michigan truck too, but it only had 94k on it when I got it and it was an older guys baby. Think mine actually has less rust than your Bronco. I will be emailing you for parts I want. Thanks for posting Chris.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage Haven't tried yet. Just worried I wont be able to break it loose. I'll start soaking it w/PB and try this in the spring(no pun) I have a brand new set of stock springs, but want to get her level.
