You miss the part of how to align the window when you're installing everything together, you jump from tight the window to tight the motor of the window 🤷🏽♂️
Im trying my absolute best to get the regulator back onto the window and good lord what an enigma it has been trying to put it on. I am fighting for my life to put this piece back on and thanos came with his reality stone and changed the dimensions of how it would fit back on. Thats my only explanation to how it wont even seem like it’ll fit
This video was invaluable for me, currently trying to repair a broken window regulator on my 2007 Mazda 2 in the UK. I haven’t finished the repair yet but this has given me some confidence to carry on. I never would have located the hidden screws and release clips etc. without this help. Many thanks.
For anyone replacing just the window motor, dont take the backpanel off, just take the speaker out so you can reach through its empty hole with your other hand and hold the regulator drum (the white starshaped thing where the motor will engage) in place when installing the motor
Finished!! Thank you for the help. Way more difficult than I imagined... especially lining up the new motor gears together. Needed another person to help hold everything while trying to align and get screws in. Tip for anyone struggling, I used long nosed 90 degree plyers that fit perfectly in holes on the window side to make slight adjustments to move window up/down manual.

If you have 2006 with central locking and can't get the electrical connector plug off, there is a red tab on the connector that you have to pull out first to unlock it. Even after that it's still hard to yank so I put a flat blade screwdriver in the gap and twisted while pulling on the wires. If you took the power window motor off you need to twist the assembly until it falls into the 3 notches in the door card. I twisted stuff until it clicked into their locations so that the assembly was flat together, ie, no gaps - if it's not flat together the gear cover plate might pop off -, then I finger tighten the 3 screws and gave final twisting to make sure everything was located before final tightening.
1min 24 sec... cant get that speaker adapter off the tweeter either... seems to be skipped. did you cut it?? how'd it come off? 12:50 how did you get the window down after it was already up and disconnected??
What size are the bolts holding the regulator to the window itself? Lost them in the process and new hardware doesn't come with most regulator kits lol.
Tips and issues in had with video... Take the moter off before taking off the wiring harness Packing tape works better. Takes two people to reinstall the motor. Tools I used Paper clip Philips head screw driver A a Cutco sandwich knife A pocket knife A ratched set with 10mm and 8 mm
I've been looking everywhere for help and this didn't answer or help me..my window shifts not sure why I heard you say door guides when taking the window out but thata all what was said.. also you didn't show how u put the bar window back in u jumped to the panel back on.
Great video. I have a 2008 Mazda 3 and I have couple of issues 1. Both my front doors no longer lock using the keyfob 2. When I roll up my driver side front window, the glass for some reason comes out of the tracks and keeps tilting forward. I have to hold it down to come up properly within the tracks. Can you help to understand what could be the issue?
+Mohammed Mehdi Since there could be many reasons why you are experiencing these issues, we do recommend having a local, reputable mechanic diagnose the issue. Thanks for checking us out!
Thought my motor was burnt out but when I took it to the mechanic and after they clean the window they where able to get window move. But it wouldn't go back up... so used this video to take it apart and figured out the window clutch thing... the part there selling that turns the rotary motion of the window into a linear motion that moves the window up and down was dirty so I cleaned and reinstalled it. I noticed right away that was the issue with situation. The Window moves easy with just hands up and down once reinstalled with out thr motor unlike before... I have same issue with passinager door as well planing on fixing it another day.

Hello, please help me. Mazda 3 BK 2008. I am not able to disconnect the wires from the side of the door latch. The connector is behind the panel, inside the door. How do I get to him?
BTW make sure the window is in the tracks within the door. Mine was not in the tracks cause i had pulled it all the way out of the door frame and i had to open the panel again to get it back on there. The window was jamming and not going all the way back up.
just watch! out, if that gear on the regulator pops out like mine did, it exploded. the springs went flying and the cables unraveled. it was a pain to put back together. it involved a half inch ratchet and extension. My wife held tension on one cable with the ratchet and I fished the other end of cable on to the pulley while placing a full load on the second spring yikes! This all obviously had to be done outside the vehicle .
+shoosh Thanks for checking us out. The install of the new regulator is shown at 12 minutes and 40 seconds. Please let us know if you need any further assistance, thank you.
Yep, that was the hardest part by far. After mounting the carriage to the window, you have to get the 2 studs lined up to the panel, the regulator to line up with the cutout, the motor to mesh with the regulator… while it is hanging there and get the 3 self tapping screws in. I figured it out with another set of hands (my daughter) but it was tricky and completely skipped here in this video. A little disappointing considering how thorough the rest of the video was, most of it was pretty trivial.
