I old enough to remember when all I had to do was pop the hood and reach behind the headlights and twist and replace the bulb. Glad I watched this before attempting to do it.

The engineer that designed the Ram Headlight assembly obviously does not drive a Ram. There had to have been a better design! The 1A Auto video is very helpful!

Couldn't agree with you more. Ridiculous amount of work to change a light bulb. It's winter.. January.. with no heated garage.. I'm going to break all that plastic crap if I try to do it myself.

ATTENTION: the bottom bolt only needs to be turned for about 30 seconds to a minute, and it will freely spin without being able to remove (even with a magnet). REMOVE THE TOP BOLT AND PUSH THE HEADLIGHT FORWARD FROM THE REAR TRAP DOOR ACCESS. Then you can pull the whole headlight out and lift up until the bolt pops out. The whole process should only take 5 minutes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SPINNING THAT DAMN BOLT! IT WILL DO YOU NO GOOD!

Man ! No 5 min of showing what tools to get and where they're made. No 4 min of not being able to unbolt a fastener. No 3 min of who the mechanic is and where he's working No 2 min of telling about the weather and where the mechanic is Just 1 min, actually less, of meat. This should be a model of how to do a how-to-do-it video. WELL DONE.

Great video but the only thing I would add is I have found it easier to "bump" the assembly out from behind through the access hole than to try to pull it out from the front.

I bought the lightbulbs and took the truck to the dealership. They said they had to take the grill off and wanted to charge me $90.00!!!! 😂😂😂😂 Nope!!! I checked RU-vid and here we are!! Thank you!!

It took me an hour of trying to pry the headlight out, despite following the directions step by step. I gave up. The headlight was loose enouigh to pry out, but just would not come out. I worked until my fingers nearly bled, then just gave up. ILooks like I'm taking my truck to the dealership. :-(

I strongly suggest that the grille is removed to keep from turning the base of the lower bolt. If the base turns your headlight will be out of adjustment. There's a 50/50 chance this will happen.

I just want to replace my halogen bulbs with some LED bulbs on a 2017 Ram Rebel. Can I do that by just removing the access panel in the wheel-well and reaching in or do a complete removal?

Anyone else have an issue removing the bottom 10 mm bolt? I got it all loosened and can’t get it out. Tried using a drill w/ an attachment and a magnet tool. Think I’m going to have to take the grill off just to get at that bolt.

Wouldn’t the headlight have to be readjusted? I did this years ago when I was stationed in Germany and couldn’t see a damn thing on the autobahn after installing my smoked out headlights. I took my truck to a mechanic and he told me that the headlights needed adjusting before the installation was complete.

This is probably the stupidest headlight replacement on any vehicle! Why do manufacturers make something that should be very simple ( headlights are pretty important to have) and you should have to replace one out on the road, this is ridiculous!
