I sure appreciate your excellent videos Mike. You're so good about explaining EVERYTHING on how to do the different procedures repairing my car. Thanks. You're GREAT!!
OH MAN! I have been trying to figure out how to take that whole cover off for the longest freaking time! I never saw those screws behind it! Thanks so much!!
We currently do not have an auto repair video of this particular repair. Usually they are located next to the blower motor on the passenger side under the dashboard.
HI Paulo, We currently do not have an auto repair that shows you how to do this. You may want to visit Crutchfieldcom they tend to deal with audio upgrades, and may have a post on their forum that shows you how to do this.
I found out that there are 2 hidden screw underneath the air control buttons you have to remove the central console to be able to remove and access them no wonder the thing wont budge. So there are 6 screws to be remove after all. FYI working on a Accord 95 EXi model.
@firethrone15 It could be a loose wire or connection.Another thing that you could also try is to turn the heat on and test the blower motor plug with a test light to see if there's power the the blower motor and also the blower motor resistor. If there is that then it's either the resistor or the blower motor itself.
@deck515 There should be 4 Phillips screws that you need to remove. There are two behind the switches and two on top of the dash. We show the locations of the hidden ones in the video.
You may want to check the power going to the blower motor and also to the blower motor resistor to see if there's power going to them. If there isn't check the fuses and also the switch.
Saved my ass!!! I have a terrible track record of breaking things apart (not much of mechanic). I would have never of thought to pry out those switches. Thanks for the great video!!!
@Ed27278 THANK YOU for posting this comment, I have a '97 Honda Accord SE with a bum heat regulator knob/switch/ I've been trying all day to get this panel off, I've watched this video several times to try to see what I'm missing-no way to get it off on the right side though-it is in TIGHT. I don't want to damage the panel or the surrounding leather, which I've already dented a bit trying to pry it with my screwdriver, now I can go back to the car+start removing the other screws.
There are 2 more screws that you didn't take out that are at the bottom of the dash panel. You must pull the faceplate off the dash to get these screws. I pulled and pulled and broke everything because these 2 screws. Your car must have been taken apart before and these 2 screws were never put back on your car. You might half to remove the press in metal nuts too that protrude up into the face plate.
Hello friend! I'ma big fan of your videos, already helped me a lot. Could you make a video of how to remove the original radio cassette and put a aftermarket 2 dim? Thank you, Paulo.
Hey thanks for the video man. I have an accord I have to fix tom. because the heater is not working. They said that before they just tap the dash and the heater works. Now it won't work at all What do you is the problem there?
Sweet. Big Help Here. Does the switch usually go bad. I think i need a new switch in my 1995 Accord. It started to weird out on me sporadically, now i can't switch the blower on at all.
Are there brighness bulbs in switch controllers and in air mix buttons? Or there are only brighness(all green , one yellow) for active air mix channel?
Took those screws out behind switches, and the 2 by the speedo and it still won't come out. The section by the right side (htr controls) is stuck. It will not come out. If i pry any harder, it'll brake something. It's like there's more hidden screws underneath the unit (remove radio? ).
any suggestions...i have this exact same care...took the 2 phillip screws out...but it seems like its very difficult to remove the panel from where the heater and a/c knobs are out of the frame of the dash. anyone know why?? seems like there might be another screw but im following this video....and he has no problems what so ever removing the dash out.
It doesn't show 2 screws that have to be removed in order to remover this, which are located above the stereo. Screwed into the bottom of the A/C switch assembly, they are pointed toward the roof and MUST BE removed to get the panel off. I guess you have removed these before and left them out, but just FYI.
Great video but i took out the switches and screws and i cant get the face off. The side with the ac controls is stuck, it feels like there are screwws holding it in, in the back. i know the video said its clips but im afraid im going to break it. any advice? thanks
there is 6 screws. the 2 he showed you. 2 in above the speedometer. and 2 above the stereo. pull out the stero and there is 2 screws above it in there.
LOL I've done everything remove all the four screws but the damn thing just wont come off as if there a hidden screw underneath or behind the switches for the air control buttons... any help on this please??????
How does he pry out those switches at the beginning without cracking them? I've already cracked my cruise control button. I'm afraid to keep trying. I'm using a flathead screwdriver, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you for watching! You want to carefully pry where the tabs on the switch are.You could also try wrapping the flat head with electrical tape. 888-844-3393
Can someone help me out here? I have a 1996 Honda Accord and the heater does not work. With the heat turned to max it still blows ice cold. Any help is appreciated!
I could not get mine out all the way. I was not going to take out the stereo . Found out I did not need to. The knob for the hot/cold blend was split, and that is why mine did not work. But NOW that I have it all back together, the fan speed switch now has a phantom detente at what would be the 5 if it went to 5. And that position is now OFF. all the other positions still work. OFF-1-2-3-4 and 5th is OFF again. I did not even TOUCH that knob in trying to fix the blend know. ha ha.
We carry the blower motor for it on our website, we currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular repair though. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
That's not a '90. that looks like a 94'-97. BTW I wanted to ask if you had how to replace the blower motor for a 91 Accord, not a 94. Lastly, how to take the fins off the motor.
It wont move as if the bottom part and the sides where the air controls are located are screwed they wont budge I don't want to force it cause it might break.... :((
At 3:00 minutes, if the console does not come out, there are two screws below it. See this one for removal: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3hW5eM5Fbbs.html
the thing which is annoying and disappointing about these videos i'm finding on utube, is that i own and am trying to work on a 91 accord......and my dash.....looks absolutely nothing like the one which is shown in this video which claims it covers 90 thru 96..... the entire dash and cluster setup in my 91 is totally different.... so nothing in this helps at all
