This is a tutorial video on how to take apart and replace the LCD and glass screen on your Apple iPhone XR. (The entire IPS LCD + Digitizer +Glass screen + frame assembly)
Its the same procedure and same glass screen used for all carrier models.

I used the following tools:
1. Pentalope screwdriver
2. Y Tip Tri Tip screwdriver
3. Small Phillips head screw driver
4. Hair dryer, Heat gun or Hot Plate.
5. Prying tool
6. Suction cup

C 11 I just cracked mine like two min ago the phone is bad I won’t lie since the screen is large it’s a very easy and cheap screen apple need to use the same glass they used on the iPhone 6 but there cheap and want you to pay for repairs

Milsim Tac I own a repair shop and Samsungs don’t have durable screens compared to iPhones. Burn in is a very common issue with Samsung phones.

Can you put a oled display on the xr because I looked online and there is oled displays for the xr and says some have 3D Touch so does that mean I’ll get 3D Touch if I install the oled on my xr? i thought it was a good tutorial until you tried to short cut it by not showing us the instructions in reverse. it was a pain in the ass to put together the phone to find out the cables were supposed to go under the metal screen bracket, or which screws went where

my LCD screen is cracked and there’s this thin purple line down the middle, but at the top of the screen near the middle its all black (so I can’t see the video at all) But the colors in the video are like, reflecting over into the comments tab thing (so like the colors are at the bottom, near the keyboard, it’s as if the video is on fullscreen while having the comments open, that’s what it looks like). I just need to replace the screen, but it’s like I can still see what I’m typing, kind of. It’s really just the top half I guess, if that makes any sense (it probably doesn’t but I tried).

There are some random white spots on my Xr screen whenever I go to a black background you can easily see those spots and it really annoys me and it gets in the way. To get rid of that should I just replace the screen??

This comment is a year old but it could be somewhat of a defect if it was already there before. If it bothers you much you can get it replaced at a repair shop or do it yourself, hope this helps.

Ur best bet is to got to eBay when ur order a new screen they come with the tools for free! And u can find some cheap screens too!

it's no longer water resistant when you replace the screen, and there doesn't seem to be a practical fix. Just a sacrifice you have to make and remember to not drop your phone and get protection for it next time lol

@@icarr121277 a size I've never seen outside a phone repair kit lol. It's a special size. You can look up iphone repair kits on ifixit, repairtechusa, or amazon for the right screwdriver heads.

My biggest issue is that one time I got my screen fixed for my iPhone but the screen wouldn’t recognize my finger. It’s like 3/4 of my screen was useable but the 1/4 I couldn’t. Broke my Xr as soon as I got it, hopefully they fix the screen right 💔😔

Queen C only reason I know that is because I do the repair work currently for the one at my store. Just make sure whenever you go there you already have your find my iPhone cut off right before you go. If your screen is messed up until the point that you can’t see or touch it then you can just call Apple to get them to turn off the find my iPhone. Hopefully your iPhone back glass isn’t. Cracked because if it is then you will have to mail it into Apple instead of bestbuy fixing it because any Apple retailer isn’t going to fix a phone with the back of it cracked as well. Depending on the kind of phone it is the price to fix the screen varies. But generally it’s like 30 dollars with Apple care+ without it is when it becomes expensive.

So I order the kit you suggested and it doesn't even have the right tools. Considering it's the second one I've order now, it's pretty frustrating. Anyone seeing this do not use his link. :-\ I'm so disappointed.
