I have the same issue and tried it doing myself with help of this video and a couple others, I ended up replacing the spring and the diaphragm. But the howling hasn’t stopped. The new spring looked a little different than the stock one. So I was thinking that could be the reason. Unfortunately I don’t know what I did to the stock spring to try and test that theory. Do you know where I may be able to order one or if i should just replace the whole oil filter housing at this point
Thanks for the video. I'm having this exact same issue with the vacuum in oil filler cap and dipstick. Whining/whistling on high revs and loss of boost at high revs. Do you guys think the overboost/underboost could be a result of this as well or maybe my turbo control valve? Have a 603c turbo code stored. No current CELs however. Do you just pry up all the way around the top half of the cap to pop it out? I've read to be careful with it cause if you damage the cap or the other piece you will have to replace the entire oil housing unit.
Guys mean well but need to rehearse instructions, conversation between each other and the camera guy needs coordination with the two guys and all their movements
