I replaced both outdoor frost free taps. One in garage, I soldered it rather than thread it in. 2nd one had a sharkbbite with pex pipe. I used a 14 in FF and the one I took out was 12 inches so cut 2 inches off the pex. Both work great and no complaints from this career baker. lol Shark bite says not to scuff up the pipe and to deburr it.
I love shock bite. They work every time with no issues for me. It saves a lot of time and a lot of money. Thank you for your comment and watching my video
Do not use sharkbite connection if you do not or will not have access to the joint in the future. The Screw in frost free pipes are always easier to replace when needed especially if you can't easily access the connection point.
