my motor is weird. i press the switch up and it goes down. press down and it goes up. done that since i replaced the mechanism assembly with aftermarket one.
Thank you so much for the real world video and not editing to make the repairs look like a magic trick. Definitely subscribing because of this. Additional thx for rattle tip at the end of the vid.
Another great video! Thanks! Would love to see one one replacing the door window delta and one on a TOTAL refirb of the tailgate, including window runners, felted, weather stripping, etc....hint, hint, lol.... Keep up the great videos!
Thanks for the helpful video. I had only watched to the half way point. So when it came to put the motor back in, I had a terrible time getting mounting holes oriented. Seeing the finished position of the motor was finishing touch on your video for me. Big Help!
This brings up a good point. The new motor must be oriented exactly the same as the one you removed. This Bronco was built with the motor pointing upwards. My Bronco had the motor pointing downwards. I couldn't get the holes to line up for installation at all with the motor pointing upwards. Now I know.
Enjoy your channel. Great video with ample detail to help guide these repairs, while also coaching us through the process. Passenger side window on my 93 F150 just began having issues going back up, sounds like it’s slipping and not engaging properly. I’m going to pull it apart tomorrow and see what’s going on. Thx for your help and encouragement to give me the sense of confidence to make this happen. Keep up the great work 👏👏
@@BroncosandPartsGarage yes sir I believe so, I pulled the window motor and bench tested it and it worked fine checked voltage from the switch and everything was good so reinstalled and still no problems. Must have been a bad connection or gremlins lol
So I understand this is for the front windows, my tailgate window is stuck up and there is no motor installed , also handle to tailgate doesn’t work ? Any tips? Wanting to get tailgate open to get it fixed
Your best bet would be to remove the inspection plate, have someone carefully pull down on the bottom of the glass (compressing the regulator springs) while a few more people lift off the topper. The glass is curved so be careful. Fingers and glass are a bad combo. Once topper is off, lift handle, reach inside, pull the “glass down” or handle lock, away from bottom of glass. Then try the handle. If stuck, grasp the two horizontal lath arms and press inward while someone else lifts handle. The mechanisms I speak of are in part 2 of my tailgate video.
Hi. Hoping you see this comment. I have a 1992 Ford Bronco and recently the passenger side power window is going down OK, but not going up without some assistance. Once it gets fully up the motor doesn't seem to realize it's all the way up and sounds like it's still wanting to go up. Does sound like something has gone bad with the motor and it needs to be replaced?
@@craigmacchiato3728 you may want to remove the switch bezel (carefully) I made a door panel removal video. Watch that. Then separate the bezel from the switch plate (3screws). Then simply pull up on the lock switch. It will expose copper pins. Clean all that up. Then try it.
Great video Sir. This made it much easier for me to change out mine. Only thin different I did was use regular drill bits on the two and my Dremel tool with the round drum sander attachment to make the one screw a little more accessible. I did forget to add some marine quality grease to the motor gear when installing, and I have to remove the motor and reinstall it because the window operation now is a little "jumpy" and not smooth like it should be. Again, thanks for the video.
Great job on the video and very helpful. If you buy a replacement motor you will need to trim back the plastic fins by the bottom screw, took me about 45 minutes to figure out why the replacement motor wouldn’t fit. Trimmed back went right in.
You’re an alley mechanic is what you are dirty you don’t know what dirty is if that’s all you got on your hands ha ha ha ha ha ha you guys in these videos freaking kill me
