Brother, thank you so much for this video. The only difference in mine is the way it clamps down on top. It has plugs all around and you have to pop them all to get it off. Took me a minute to figure it out. Thank you so much again for your help.
Thank You so well done you are a natural professor. How can you definitively know its the door switch? Is the a resistance or continuity test? I get a DE code.
Is there a way to fix the plastic that keeps the latch locked in place? My sister broke it by forcing it open but we can’t pay $300 to replace the whole lid the model is wa52m7750av/a4
I have a Samsung WA45T3200AW/A4 with what I thought was a bad DC34-00025E. I pull the old part out, but when I try to install the new part. THERE ARE NO SCREW POSTS on the top!! WHAT DO?
I did this and my washer still won’t lock, the lid looks cracked where the strike should be but I went and looked at a brand new one at the Home Depot and it doesn’t look like the strike is different at all? I’m not sure why the lock won’t fully engage. The washer will say the door is locked but then you can just lift the lid, and it will try to start and not start and when I rung the Samsung diagnosing it says it’s bc the door isn’t locking?? Not sure if it’s the strike bc it doesn’t even seem to have a strike portion?
This is my problem also. I want to delete the damn lock but it's probably not possible. I don't need it. I'm to old and fat to get inside my washer. 🙄 I don't even know how it got broke! It has a soft close lid and the only thing I've ever done is dust inside that grungy hole. Mine is the samsung wa50r5400a.
Is it the plastic housing where the screws attach? If so, that part can also be replaced for under $5. I improvised using 2 small screws on the outside.
Changed the lock with help from this video. Lock function still not operating properly. Wont engage to allow a wash cycle to begin every time (will work properly 1 time in 20 tries) Wont disengage when it DOES start and complete a wash cycle. So frustrating.
@@PartsDr the original issue was "no start" condition so I started with a successful lock replacement (with all credit going to your video) When that didnt resolve the issue, I changed the main board next and the washer is working again! Thanks for all the help
