So to replace an alternator on a French car requires the disassembly of half the engine. Good to know.

In the real world loosen bolts holding RH engine mount and jack the engine with floor jack. Move engine few cm to the back of the car to make a room for alternator removal. It is out of the car in 30 min. This video is official method yes, very clear and nicely described but i think that even Renault officials take shortcuts.

Oh my god. So much disassembly to replace an alternator. No wonder these get scrapped for little issues.

Well I change my alternator on my Clio mk3 now won’t start !! Before anyone says it’s the starter motor it’s the not starter motor it’s 6 months old ! & it’s not my car battery it’s brand new !! Any suggestions be great get the car car start Again
