thank you so much!!for just a few dollars for the belt and 15 minutes of time i saved a ton of $$ instead of buying a new vacuum!!!! i appreciate you very much.
Hey. Thanks to your excellent video, I discovered that a MASSIVE clump of hair had grown on the end of the motor shaft and TOTALLY hogged out the old belt. :) Thanks for the help, you saved me a lot of heartache.
Thank you for making this video! It is very helpful. Your instructions include all the steps and you add important tips. I managed to do the belt change without a glitch, thanks to this video.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to make this video with such complete instructions. You walked me through this, and I'm not a "handy" person. My old Dirt Devil is back in action with a new belt and bag!!
Thanks dude! Mine was jammed up with hair and wouldn’t turn even when I used a seam ripper to get the hair out... got it all clean and belt installed and now it’s like new! Ty for showing that middle plate removal too...the instructions on the side say take out the two screws but never mention that center plate. Took me a bit to fiddle with it to get the belt on the right side but it’s all good. Thanks a bunch!!👍🏻
Thanks for posting & saving (963 views•Feb 20, 2021) almost 1000 in 3 months of us from having to figure this out on our own. I would have the whole thing apart and dirt everywhere. lol
Hi Tasia. It depends on what you mean by “twisted”. If I’m understanding your question correctly, the answer is yes. The belt necessarily twists 90 degrees in the gap between the brush-bar and the motor’s shaft. This is because it wraps around both the brush-bar and the motor’s shaft, which are perpendicular to each other.
@@BrettSchmidt Thank you for your response. If I remember well, the instruction on the booklet says that there is a slight twist when replacing the belt.
I'm assuming you pulled out the red crevice tool from the nozzle. If yes, likely the hose is blocked. Dissconnect the hose where the nozzle connects to the machine, by twisting it in the direction of the arrows, then pull it off, and clean out the hose. Good luck Alberto.
