There is an air bleeder on the top left side of the radiator for the cooling system. Very important that you bleed the air out this way because it won't completely fill otherwise. I've also got a 2014 Chevy Cruze.

since its next to impossible to buy the pump bolts, most online suggestions is buy new pump/gasket and new screws. but seeing as you used the old bolts. is it safe to use the old bolts? since some vids they say there is a possibility the bolts become unsafe/useable once you "break" them loose to change the pump. i need to swap my pump out but havent had time to do so, mostly cause as i said its near impossible to find the bolts. amazon sells the deco pumps with gasket but not the bolts lol so is it safe to reuse the old bolts? if i have a shop do the repair or i do it my self id rather not screw my self by using the old bolts if doing so weakens the bond/seal. also what would the torque be on the screws? there isnt much posted online that i have found even from the old GM repair manuals.

If you have a old bolt for comparison you can get the thread pitch and the diameter of the bolt and probally get one from any good hardware store or well equipped parts store

Good video I've done it before but in an 87 buick regal much easier lol..I do have a question because I don't remember once I use the sealant for the gasket how long does it have to sit before I can fill up the tank and run the car we only have one car since I drive an 18wheeler so kinda need the car back on the road fast well let me k ow if you know thank you

the rtv is stands for room tempture vulcanzation, , which means it hardens at room temp. I usually put it together with the gasket and longs as it's not 30 or 40 degrees, let it sit for a hour before I ad coolant .thanks for watching

@tallterrilaw8646
@tallterrilaw8646 4 года назад
good yes thank you. I just had my waterpump replaced couple weeks ago and my car is worse than before. The reason I replaced the waterpump is because I had some vanishing antifreeze I had to top off but no visible leaks and no overheating. the thermostat housing and hoses were replaced about a year and a half ago and it never overheated afterwards . But since I've had the waterpump replaced my car has overheated 3 times. However after I had the waterpump replaced it over heated within the first week. Three times in 3 weeks and the last time there was zero fluid in the reservoir. When I added coolant into the reservoir it poured right out onto the ground. The shop that replaced the waterpump said its leaking from the water outlet aka thermostat housing. The thermostat housing is only a year and a half old so I'm wondering if they are either lying to me about the waterpump not being any good, attached right or if they damaged the thermostat housing when they replaced the waterpump. (The thermostat housing and hoses were replaced at a different shop).
@fixergood
@fixergood 4 года назад
@@tallterrilaw8646 its possable that your thermostat is sticking causing it to over heat. If you had a leaking head gasket it could cause the water fo disappear also .It's also possable the thermostats could of been damaged when it was put back in. I hope this helps
