How to Replace Truck Tire Broken Rim Plate | Restoration of a Truck Rim || Rim Repairing in Pakistan #Restorationofrim #rebulidingtruckring #Replacingbrokenrimplate
It´s amazing the way these mechanics work in workshops in Paquistan . They work without goggles , gloves , leather apron , suitable shoes , masks against gases and dust , ear muffs , lack of more modern welding masks and wear very loose clothing near the lathe . It is very risky to work without these protections . Greetings From Brazil.
Yup... It seems as though workers are very expendable in Pakistan. In addition to your comments... A lathe that is just sitting on a dirt floor. An un-anchored grinding machine. Zero lubrication on all the ways (sliding surfaces) on the lathe... This place is a safety nightmare. That said... These guys to a pretty good job considering the primitive conditions they work in.
@@WHJeffB, These workers carry out an important work of turning and mechanics , even working in minimum safety conditions . I really want to get to know Pakistan and i know that the people of that country are very hard working . I wish for all of you progress , peace , freedom and joys. A hug the size of Brazil to our brothers in Pakistan .
ISO 9001 IT'S actually remarkable what these people can do with such limited resources..... sure in EU we can do better but think of the backgrounds we have here... these people have 5% of that so i give a big like 👍
Recycling yards must not get alot of scrap they repair everything. I love it and the talent that is required to Repair everything vs autozone is on a hole another level special doing it without the latest tech.
I can repair most anything with a torch and a welding rig however these guys do display another level of ingenuity but what they're doing is not rocket science.

Amazing! We, in the west, are so fortunate and unappreciative. This guy has a thriving business...I hope, and is probably very satisfied when his head hits the pillow.
It is amazing when you see the production made with the very minimum of tools and no safety equipment at all in a country that lacks many of the basic industrial components available to the workers.
I love this guy, that run out indicator is a nail, just like I used to use. And the lathe I used would not have taken the whacking with the hammer that his does. 7018 rod, not known for strength, and dude needs a chipping hammer for the slag. Two cans of Krylon gloss black and we has us a nigh onta new wheel.
For the available tools, this is a quality job. Well done! I'd put it on my truck (if I had one). The only concern I have is the placement of the replacement hub/rim plate with the lug bolt holes - I did not see any measurements taken to know if the depth of the replacement hub was proper for that particular wheel. Maybe it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things?
He made sure the center hub plate lined up with the valve hole, other than that, how deep he goes in or our only changes the dual spacing, or offset, and on many trucks, this is not a critical distance.
Very nice work. This man knows how to lay down a nice bead! I wonder how he is not robbed at night, I saw no way to lock his shop up. Thank You for sharing!
@@chrisbanning413 that kind of wheel rims is used on heavy trucks. The force which loaded each rim is very high and after this reparation there is no chance that material has a same microstructier in each section. Did you see how look rims production? Part like this is tested by x-rey to be sure that there is no micro craks. Of corse if you'll grinded and painted, it can look like new, but what is important to safe for part such this is matirial structure.
@@chrisbanning413 You made question, so I've answered why. It dosn't metter where peaple do it. Skill it not all, knowage how it works, why it works is compleatly differend things. If you want, you can buy such part, your choice. The same situation is with sick, you can go to a doctor or to a quack. Maybe results will be the same or not your choise. The thing is what mey be reparied and what not.
