How To Replace Your Rear Shocks! - VY Commodore 

Must be my manual that says differently but thank you for the extra knowledge! :)

Are you afraid wheels are going to fall off or something ! ? Not once in my 22 years as a Automotive technician ever found it neccesary to torque wheels up , not even 4WD not once has a wheel ever come off at all .

'automotive technician' 🤔 wow ok this is basic stuff dude! Not so much about wheels 'falling off' per se... it is a safety concern & also 🫰🫰. So I believe it's fair to say MOST people over-torque wheel nuts to be on the 'safe' side which can lead to things like STRETCHING the studs and causing stud breakage/failure etc. True extremely rare one stud failing might cause a wheel to just fall off, it is a safety concern. Say one stud fails due to over-tightening now have even more force/work for the remaining 'also' over-tightened studs. 🫤 Stretched/damaged studs/nuts can become loose n develop play potentially becoming unbalanced, cause damage to other components or excessive/uneven tyre wear etc etc. Least case having to spend time n money needlessly replacing parts/tyres etc

Thank you appreciate the feedback! :) I've used Aunger shocks in the rear of my ute (stock height daily used) and haven't had any complaints with it so far, plus they weren't too expensive!

@A. Melbs I'm saying you shouldn't use it to break the tension. That's what the breaker bar is for.

I don't think you're able to in the VY series because it's cable throttle. VZ and onwards are fly-by wire, which uses a throttle controller mounted to the side the of pedal, hence you can upgrade to a more responsive throttle controller
