Thanks much! I seem to always need a video around root bound plants when I’m repotting from a store bought plant! Yours was very helpful. Unfortunately, this plant was so neglected, its roots were choking it and the roots were veré tiny, not healthy-looking like yours!

Thank you I have recently subscribed to your channel. I was referred by a friend and I’m so glad I took it on board! Never disappointed by your advice. Just purchased a syngonium after previously killing them years ago. But with your awesome hacks etc a new phase of life begins

Are plants going into shock just an Internet scare, myth, especially while being manhandled. I think you just busted all those crazy myths floating around the internet by this great video. Thanks a lot Sir!

A little bit. They’re robust so takes a lot to send them into shock I think

just take a cutter or a sharp knife and cut through the complete soil 2 times in a 90 degree angle. thats how i do it. What you cut off will die and serve as nutrients, the rest will start growing again and look for new pathways. best use a superroot pot.

I found a poor Pothos today that was severely rootbound. Is it possible to split them up? I'm worried I'll damage the roots but I am hoping to give these guys more space!

Hi there, this was really helpful. If I repot now in late summer will I harm the plant?

I have a monstera that was thriving, been in the same spot for over a year now. recently however, many leaves are getting brown spots and more yellow rather than vibrant green. i suspect its rootbound? but i dont want to put it into a larger pot. can i just put some fresh soil and loosen up the roots and put it back in the current pot?
@SheffieldMadePlants
@SheffieldMadePlants День назад
If it’s rootbound then it’ll be hard to do that. Check if it’s actually that

Thank you for this video. I repotted an extremely rootbound monstera and I just couldn't get the roots loose! After ages of trying I gave up and just left them in their circling pot shape. Is it likely to die now?
@SheffieldMadePlants
@SheffieldMadePlants Год назад
Probably won’t die. You could trim the roots if you want. Plants don’t mind that

Is there a way to repot my root bound syngonium so it can go back into the self watering pot it is in now. It is starting to have a few yellow oldest leaves and roots are growing out of draining holes. I live in small mobile home and space is not allowing very large pots. I would have to get rid of plants for that to happen. Not there yet. LOL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love your videos. (The Stress Coat+ works for me. Thanx!)
@SheffieldMadePlants
@SheffieldMadePlants 10 месяцев назад
You can prune the roots to make room. Cut a third off the bottom with a knife
