**Motoscan App only for Android/Windows so most people buy a cheap Amazon Fire Tablet just to have an Android device to do this...no other option for Iphone users...or borrow a buddy's phone :)

Can confirm the OBDLinkLX and MotoScan works on my 19K1600 grand America! I just reset my service with it! Thanks for this! I was disappointed with with the OBDLinkLX at first as their app doesnt work for the BMW. But once the device is paired MotoScan can see it and it works great. Just had to buy the license for MotoScan, The Ultimate license is ~$50 now. Thats the only negative! But still cheaper than a BMW Dealer!

Hi thats a pretty cool tool! Now i went to my dealer for my service and i asked the guy to clear my reminder date! He said bmw wants the maintenance done 1 year or 6000miles! I only do about 1500miles a year! I noticed with your tool you can change the mileage intervals, can you change the time intervals?? Thanks!! Great video

It says 08.03.2022, this is a standard date format for most countries although U.S. uses "Month.Day.Year" and Korea, China and a few others use "Year.Day.Month" I believe you can change this format somewhere in the settings.

May be, not all OBD readers can reset intervals and things.

I think it only lets you change the service interval by mileage not by date if I'm not mistaken.

This all seems to work for me, but I can’t seem to change the next service date. So the notification that I need to service keeps showing up every time I start the bike. I can change the service interval mileage no problem and the change is instant on the bike. Any thoughts?

You may just be missing it or overlooking it due to the format being UK date where it's day.month. year? (13.05.2022) for May 13, 2022?

@@rednecktech82 I don’t think that’s it. I can change the date to ANYTHING in Motoscan and the date on the bike doesn’t change at all. Only the mileage seems to change. Frustrating, especially since I moved to a place where the nearest BMW dealer is over 3 hours away.

@@dxhx I get it I'm over 2 hours away from my dealer. My bike needs updated as well I will try to find time to do that this week so I can let you know what I see. I work a lot of double shifts so you'll have to give me a week or so.

Finally got around to getting my oil change done and reset my service interval. I had no problem resetting the date or mileage so if only the mileage is resetting for you there's something going on with either the bike or the the device. All I could suggest is seeing if there is a firmware update available for the device or try exchanging it if you bought it through somewhere like Amazon where that's easy enough.

So this is just to get away from paying the stealership $200 to reset your light but on a separate note I don't believe in fixing what's not broke. Bike runs fine why would it need "updated"? Just another ploy by the stealership to get you in the shop imo.

Only available on android. People literally buy cheap androids just to get this app. GS911 I believe is the only other option.

@@frankdamelio8769 Is there an IOS version or are you suggesting to the manufacturer that they need to make one. I left Microsoft at Windows 95 and went all Apple. The GS911 has some work around for Apple products but it’s cumbersome in addition to being expensive. I’d rather use MotoScan and my iPhone if possible.

Went for ride today and wanted to reset my trip meters and the display said not allowed restart the BMW APP. Looked in the manual for the F850GS and found nothing. Googled it as well as RU-vidd it and again nothing. What am I missing here?

Sorry but I have no idea. I have never had any issues resetting my trip meters after refueling.

Was just writing an email to the BMW service center and was going to include a picture of the dash. When I went out to take the pic, the "Restart the BMW App" message was gone and everything works like it should now. Can only assume that it restarted itself and it took longer to restart than the time I was watching. Thought this update might be useful.

@@rednecktech82 On my 19 f850 the rider/rider with luggage or two up has stoped working and I've seen other videos where mtoscan can calibrate them but it's all been on 1200 RT or GS.
