I own a 2011 Ford Escape. I bought the vehicle 6 months ago. It has not been working for the last 3 months. I almost burned it. I changed all the fuses. I changed the starter. It didn't work anyway. I almost would order the lock cylinder housing. However, it was enough for me to start the contact and wait 10 minutes :) Thank you very much, my friend.

If your car key has a button/coin battery (like mine did) make sure you change it. My car wasn’t turning on with the theft blinking just because of an old key battery.

WOW this actually worked !!! It wouldn’t crank, just was dead when I tried cranking. I was stuck at the gym at midnight and it did this, after like 7 minutes of having the keys on all the warning lights flashed and then it turned on, this has never happened before!

I’m trying to start my 06 GT and i waited the 10 minutes but when I tried starting it still wont crank and if I turn ignition off then try starting the light comes back and flashes the same way

Does this work when changing out an ECM? I replaced an ECM on a 2005 Ford Escape, same anti theft light came on blinking fast and I couldn't get my car to even crank over, even after following instructions on the two key reprogramming procedure. Old ecm worked again no problem. Thanks for this video though, good to know this

Hey man, i need a little help, my 2010 mustang does something similar to this, when sometimes (very rarely) i turn on my mustang it goes into a mode which im not familiar with. I turn on the engine and can’t put it in drive or anything, also i can’t turn on the front lights neither lock it with the key even though it is through chip. The only solution i have to this is disconnecting the battery for a minute or so and then it works. Anything sounds familiar or do you know what i could do ? Is it the theft mode ? Any help will be much appreciated.

I had a problem starting up / but cranking after programming new remotes on older 2000 something Ford Explorer. At one or 2 times, we pressed panic button which might cause the anti-theft to activate. The guy had to disconnect the battery and wait for 20-30 mins to start the car again. Wondering, by using this procedure, or other procedures like use the key to lock/unlock will work?

Okay so I got a 03 gt I have a theft problem it’ll let me start it on cold starts but after a while / sometimes before it even warms up if I turn it off sometimes it’ll go into theft /kill switch it has a aftermarket alarm but I didn’t receive the key fob for it or the factory alarm so I got the factory alarm key fob felt like it kind helped it doesn’t go into theft mode as much but still happens after awhile I tried this trick but I found out the lock cylinder doesn’t turn at all with my key so 🤷🏽‍♂️ idk what else could I try front the inside ?? I’ve cycled the key a couple times and my theft light stays on permanently when turned off but when turned on goes away. When theft activates I noticed it only does it when my temperature gauge doesn’t fully go down like I’ll turn it off all the gauges go down but not the temperature gauge it’ll go down somewhat but not fully like the other then after half a sec it’ll go fully down like if you blink you’d miss it and if I try to start it up theft mode will activate but if I let it go down it’ll start up no problem and no theft idk 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’ve tried almost everything every I feel like should I get the aftermarket fob and try that ? It did have a start up feature

Im just got stumped. Im working on an 04 Crown Vic (will be on my channel if I ever get it cranking)...was doing plugs (you know, showing the issue with the 4.6 heads and all, inspecting inside with an endoscope) but it wont crank at all...Battery just came off a charger and its new. It aint that (it reads 12.5V). I cant say I remember if the theft light was on because the dash was lit up with..everything lol. The car was in a wreck, and had airbags deployed and sat but it cranked over a few days ago when but the battery was low (Interstate batteries...brand new and already dead). Im wondering if anything could be messed on on the ECU side. When I replaced the plugs and coils, I did remove the MAF (I think its simpler) but now Im wondering if that may have triggered who knows what. Fords are not built to last anymore...I have a bunch of 70s cars and I dont have these dumb issues, nor do things crumble in my hand (looking at you vacuum lines). Anyway, TLDR, do you think the car will start tomorrow with the battery disconnected? lol. My back is broken so I didnt want to crawk under the car at night to check the starter...but thats my next step. I like your channel. You had the white board vids with how the ignition system works and all that, right?

My car wouldn't start, tge antitheft light was blinking, I took out the battery had it tested and they said it was bad battery, so I spent over 150$ on a new one and I noticed that the light is still blinking. I wonder?

I just put a new motor in my 04 (it started after that) and I was checking the fuel pump and I may have arced a wire out and after that it threw up the anti theft light. Now it won't start at all. I'm not sure if I just fkd the ecu up or if this is the problem or what. Currently trying this but at this point I'm having doubts it will work. Advice??

Does this also work if you turn the key in the on position and the gauges won’t even activate and it shuts off all power but after a couple seconds the theft light will blink and shortly after the gauges will kick on but it shows my battery voltage is low

What if I can’t roll down my window? I’ve tried this but couldn’t roll down the window and didn’t work. Will try disconnecting the negative.

And if none of the above work for anyone, try and open your key to see if the battery needs to be replaced... My wife snapped the key open and didn't realize the battery and chip flew out.... Anyway I got a brand new starter and ignition switch I put in already 😅lol I wish I would've snapped the key and seen it sooner good luck y'all ....great video btw

wish that was my issue. Just changed the battery in my 99 mustang v6 and the car alarm goes off soon as you connect the cables. not able to do reset without alarm annoying everyone nearby.

Hey quick question. The same symbol is flashing on mine and my car is dead. I tried turning the key and waiting the 10 minutes but it's like my battery is dead. Yesterday my car started fine. My 3 year old got in here and was pressing buttons and playing around and I go to start it today and completely dead with the anti theft symbol flashing. Any idea?? Help me please.

Also if this does not work, disconnect the negative battery terminal for several minutes, then reconnect it.
