I've heard of the pumice stone method but never tried. Does is wear the rubber at all? I use sole sauce and that does a fantastic job.

I don’t. If anything, you probably need to mix paints if you don’t have a straight color match.

Chris Cushing Same here I got a pair about 3 months ago and same thing happen first time wearing them and white paint started cracking 😭😭

gghot5 I didn't use a finisher and my pair is just fine. I would suggest you do if you want to prevent premature paint cracking though. I will do it for future restores.

+SWAZ no the tabs are not stitched back onto the shoe. That method requires a special machine the factory uses to restitch properly. No restorer on RU-vid has ever properly restitched the tab cleanly. It's always been done this way.

oscar mayer paint cracking and midsole crumbling are two entirely different aging processes. If you’re specifically talking about midsole crumbling then that’s gonna take over 10 years. Foams have changed types over the years so something mid 2000s and up are gonna differ than something pre 2003 when foam density was different. Google open cell vs closed cell polyurethane. If you’re only talking about paint, the ones I did here in the video were repainted 4 years from release (from 2011 to 2015).

Dirty Wolf you need to deoxidize with something like salon care 40 and use intervals of the sun to whiten that area up

Justin Benton for the paints you'll have to order them online. I did eBay. Acetone at a hardware store like Home Depot and the brushes you can get them through Angelus, Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You'll probably spend around $30-$40 for everything. A 1 oz jar of paint goes a long way.

Justin Benton Yes definitely! I haven't covered creased midsoles but there this a technique you use to do it. It involves a steamer and a damp towel over the midsole. Good luck!

Because it’ll just show up again and the paint will be uneven. If you want to do it properly, it’s best to remove everything and repaint. If you’re just gonna paint over cracks that’s a lazy job and a bandaid fix

MJO23DAN Hey if the backtab on the 2011 black cement is like taller than the back does it mean it's fake?

+OVOXO 29 if you swap? I think a lot of it has to do with fitment and placement and how short the lining would be which is also due to shape.
