Hands down one of the best tutorials / how-to's on RU-vid for this. There are any number of techniques for turning down your corners when stapling and this method seems to yield the least amount of visible wrinkles/folds for most fabrics. It may not work well for thicker vinyls though. Simple, concise and clear.

Thank you for a great tutorial. This is the best video I have found. Could you maybe do one for chair covers where you don’t use staples? I’m thinking I will probably need to wash my chair covers once in a while, as they will be used in the kitchen. It will be a big job to remove all the staples every time. I’m thinking elastic or Velcro, but I can’t find any tutorials. I know stapling is the best way to tighten the fabric, but I’m hoping to find another way. Thank you

Hint: If you don't want your cats to scratch your seats up, choose a velvet or ultra suede fabric. Cats like a fabric they can get their claws into and if it's smooth they don't like it. Learned this the hard way.
