Agreed oven roasting beets takes a lot of time and energy. I usually do it when I have the oven on already while baking sourdough bread or other things. I cannot however get behind microwave cooking. I understand, it's convenient to reheat leftovers. For cooking actual food there are other energy conserving methods. I am working on another video for next week about cooking beets in the Instant Pot. Pressure cooking also uses less time and energy than the oven

But in microwave for how long?

@@nancyjuszczak6216 as long as it takes, you test them after say 5 minutes and if you insert a blade and it doesn’t feel cooked just give it a bit more until it is tender.
