Am planning on visiting Merida, renting a car and driving to Valladoid, and just check.out Yucatan . Is it fairly safe for a single female traveler?? Am fluent in Spanish and am Mexican /American from Wyoming

Hi, we didn't feel threatened at all during our road trip but it was very handy to have someone else in the car to look out for pot holes (on the smaller roads) and speed bumps (topes). The tips in the video should be helpful for your trip. Have a great time, Yucatan is lovely and the people were very friendly.
