Thanks so much for watching! We hope you found the video useful to plan your own Yucatan Peninsula adventures!! We also shared a blog post with more useful info about the Yucatan Peninsula: www.waysoftheworldblog.com/yucatan-peninsula/
Being overcharged is also my biggest travel peeve. My second peeve, and this only applies to some very touristy places, is the pushy sales people everywhere. You can't walk around without being stopped. Consequently, I'm learning Spanish to avoid this.
For us too! It's demoralizing almost... I wish I could explain everyone who's overcharging that this is not the best way to make money long term! That's why we speak up and encourage people to leave bad reviews and speak up when this happens! And good for you for learning Spanish. Honestly it helps a ton! You can practice with us any time :)
We use Avant for car rental while in the Yucatán. A little more reasonable, and the price is what you are quoted. Not at the Cancun airport, but they will pick you up, for a 5-6 minute ride
We will keep Avant in mind for sure!! Thank you for the info!! We had all kinds of crazy experiences and obviously it was so expensive when we had to pay $95 😖
I'm very surprised to hear that some places still require a mask! These will be places that I refuse to patronize or visit. Great info and I thank you.
I like love your video is like the collest like from all the like ones that like I've like seen like about yucatan like the exact like description that i was like looking to like find.
Excellent video and well explained details. I wonder if you can include Airbnb places in all that places that you visited to give us a better opportunity to choose where to stay. I’m planning to back to Mexico 🇲🇽 next January again. Thank you for the video 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks so much Vilma! Happy to hear you found it useful! I actually have all the links if you need them and I'm happy to send them your way! Message me on IG @waysoftheworld_ with your email and I'll send them over along with notes I took of each LOL (the most honest review hahaha) you can also email me directly at aimara@waysoftheworldblog.com and I'll reply with the info :) Thanks for watching our videos!
Perhaps the most informative and friendly vids on you tube, and a beautiful couple that really shine in sharing experiences, Thank you much for the insight, My son who is 9 and I will be in Campeche in January 2023 and plan on staying for at least 6 mo, Like your apartment we would like to find one the same in or around the Campeche area, have a great safe New Years
Hi William! Thanks so much for the kind words!! :) Here's the link to the apartment we rented in Campeche: www.airbnb.com/rooms/47854903?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=e846b4b1-3035-438e-b4f0-113b475bc8c7 it was spacious, affordable and very clean. Only a few steps outside of the city walls. Only downside, no real living room area, just keep that in mind :) Have fun! Campeche is awesome!! Happy New Year!! :)
You're welcome! Early November is a great time to visit. It's always nice and warm in the Yucatan :) Cenotes might be cold, but nothing too crazy and it is the beginning of the high season so prices might be a little bit higher. But weather wise it should be beautiful!
Hi Sandy! We started our trip in Cozumel and we flew from Chicago. If you don't swim, we still recommend that you check out the beautiful cenotes (the scenery is beautiful!) and of course the cities. Campeche, Merida and Valladolid are amazing!! Mexico has so much to offer :) We hope you have a great time 🥰 Also, not sure if you're traveling to other places outside of the YP, but we just spent some time in Oaxaca City and Guadalajara and LOVED both! We have videos in case you want to see how it looks like ;)
@@waysoftheworld_ Thank you so much. I’d be traveling via air from Reynosa Mx. My husband is a Mexican national. No, just YP. Only have 1 wk vacation from work
Yea the Yucatan Peninsula is mostly very safe. The main exceptions are the more touristy places in the state of Quintana Roo - like Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. That said, you shouldn't really encounter any issues if you don't get involved in any sketchy business 🙃
