Hi Jeremy, we also replied to your support email that you sent us. Decipher TextMessage costs $29.99 and that comes with two free device activations which enables you to save all the messages from two unique phones ongoing forever. If you ever need to activate more unique iOS devices in the future, additional activations can be purchased at a discount from within the program. Also, all upgrades and updates are free. ;-)
Hi Susan, you just make a backup via the Finder on your Mac and you can then save and print text messages with Decipher TextMessage. For Mac users running Catalina or Big Sur, we have instructions on how to make a backup via the Finder our FAQ page: deciphertools.com/support/knowledge-base/how-do-i-backup-my-iphone-or-ipad-w-itunes/#catalina If you have any troubles, please drop us an email via our "contact" page at deciphertools.com since we do all our product support that way and not here on RU-vid. ;-) Have a great rest of your day!
I have texts that go back to 2014 with this one person. I only need a few random lines throughout the years. Can I just print these few lines without having to save the date range, which can be huge? They are for court. Thank you!
You indeed do not need to export all the messages. You can choose the "date range" export option and that will let you narrow down the export to the specific day and time of the just the messages you want to save.
I’m totally needing to do the same but can’t seem to explain in a way to get a clear answer. I just want to select some not all for the pdf. For just 1 contact thread. It’s not a matter of a date range it’s more random text in one contact thread
EXCELLENT Tutorial Thank you. But I have so many texts messages that need to be printed out Is there an option to have it print in a readable size of text without the text bubbles and still mark the date and times. If using for court does the phone number need to be next to every message since I’m only printing out Under the one contact phone number. Or have one phone number at the top of each page? Asking because this would save ink and paper. I mean I have over a year of texting between me and the ex and he texts too much even though I’ve asked for emails. Believe me I have a team of emails printed out. I just wished I could have printed out double sided.... I hate court paperwork never know what “proof” is needed until the judge asks. I mean sheesh like I have to prove the bill wasn’t paid when all I have is a bill... how come he doesn’t have to provide proof he paid it.
Hi Cindy, thanks for the kind words about our tutorial video! Drop us an email via our product support page and we can try to help with your needs above. ;-) deciphertools.com/support.html
Are there any apps that all sms/mms/imessage are forwarded to that show the contacts name and number, send/receive timestamps, as well as logging the read receipt timestamps? The read receipt timestamp log is something Ive not been able to find but would be absolutely clutch in certain situations.
Thanks for the comment. Text messages aren't "forwarded" to Decipher TextMessage, however when you import messages into the program, the software logs the contact on each message, as well as the timestamp! If there is read receipt data available for the message, Decipher TextMessage also displays that as well. We hope that info is helpful.
How can you tell if ALL of the messages in a thread are included and that some of the messages haven't already been deleted? I am asking not because I want to retrieve deleted messages but because I want to document no messages have been deleted. FYI: iTunes cannot be installed (it can be downloaded, but what for?) on Macs running on operating systems newer than 10.13.99 (High Sierra).
If the messages are still on your phone, they will be read into Decipher TextMessage after your make a backup of your device. The software will also read in any older backups that contain messages. If you deleted messages before you backed them up then there would be no place from which to access the deleted message data.
Do you have a video re recovering deleted texts? I tried following the written instructions to no avail, but I’m assuming it’s user error (my lack of knowledge of how to, or person and their phone)
Hi Shari, the primary function of Decipher TextMessage is to save text messages that are still on your iPhone and not deleted. The recovery function in the program will show if you have any deleted data available, however that usually depends on whether you backed up before deleting messages and also what iOS you are running. Drop us a support email and we'll be happy to reply and try to help with your situation. ;-) deciphertools.com/support.html
Hi Jody, happy to help. Windows prevents all software programs (with the exception of apps from the Microsoft App Store) from being installed in "S" mode for all users. That's why Windows is asking you to switch out of "S" mode to install and run Decipher TextMessage. ;-)
Hi! That all depends on how much space you have on your computer and how much data is on your phone. ;-) If you have troubles, just drop us a support email and we'll be happy reply with help! deciphertools.com/support.html
Thanks for the question! Decipher TextMessage saves iPhone text messages to your computer. However, our other program Decipher Messenger Export will let you save and print Facebook messages and chats. deciphertools.com/decipher-messenger-export.html
If nothing comes up at all, could it be that the phone was cleaned in some way? There are no recoverable messages and the phone is not at it's capacity. There is free space on it.
If the text messages you want to save are still on the phone, you would first need to back up the device on your computer and then Decipher TextMessage will let you save them. If you are trying to recover deleted messages that were never backed up, then you would most likely be out of luck. If you need product support, feel free to reach out to us via our contact page at deciphertools.com/support.html
Decipher TextMessage only saves text messages from iOS devices. However, we have some helpful tips in our blog about saving text messages for Android phones. deciphertools.com/blog/how-to-print-text-messages-for-court/
Yes, the software will let you save text messages from the Messages app on your Mac. If you need any help, simply email via our support page and we'll be happy to assist. deciphertools.com/support/
But can you select a contact and choose which of the text you want to create a pdf for? As in remove certain text from the report. Ones that aren’t related to the purpose of the pdf
You download and run the software on your computer, not directly on your iPad or iPhone. If you need support from us, simply contact us via our support page and we'll be happy to help! deciphertools.com/support.html
Hi Ryan, no! The software is not a subscription and there are no recurring monthly fees. We have that info in our FAQ which hopefully helps. ;-) deciphertools.com/support/knowledge-base/do-i-have-to-pay-a-monthly-subscription-for-decipher-tools/
Thanks for the comment, Alex. We’re sorry you feel that way. ;-) We have many appreciative customers who feel the price point is fair and who also use the program ongoing and not just once. If we can ever help for your needs, just let us know!
