He's a good man because he's willing to help a bunch of strangers like you and me. God bless this good man. I've learned a lot from him and his videos.
Passando para agradecer pelo teus vídeos, sao de grande importância para nos caminhoneiros, moro em São Paulo Brasil, tenho 63 anos e estou aprendendo contigo, um grande abraço meu irmão.
You make me want to come work with you guys. Been driving 17 years running flatbed and you already fixed a ton of my bad habits. Thank you for making me a better driver and I only watched two of your videos.
Thanks for the informative video. I know it was a quick run down but I feel as if I need to watch this a few times. Really Looking to move stacked chassis and for the most part tried looking for some place out of Chicago to teach and train but no luck. Even if I offered to pay for the knowledge I got nowhere. Really appreciate the video now to hopefully find something out of Chicago to get some practice before I consider taking these kind of loads. Safety is priority. Update with recent videos because I'm sure mire people are interested in doing this and doing it right. Thanks
Thanks again . I have my first stacked trailer load From Cali to Denver was nervous about securement I see some drivers only use straps ..I would not be comfortable driving with only straps on this load .
I've picked up brand new trailers loaded like this and been told straps only. Never had a problem. Also didn't take me 6 hours to secure like Western with their 80 chains and straps.
not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of months =)
Great video. Thanks for sharing! Rookie question: Is it legal to wrap the flat hook around the rub rail if the starps are supposed to stay inside the rail? If something hits the side of the trailer that the hooks are on, won't it cut the straps?
Dot changed regulation. You no longer have to have behind the rubrail but in my opinion your crazy if you drive with it outside of it. This man here shows you how to do it the right way.
It is a matter of weight rating and securing from movement. Straps usually have lower weight rating so requires more straps. And chains are still required on front and back in an x.
Some people use a crane or a wrecker but I just back one trailer into a loading dock, back the other on top of that one, and then put another trailer in the loading dock and back the double stack onto it to make a triple.
Wrong, you can have one half twist on each side, only a half twist. On taller loads that stops the straps from fluttering or slapping against the load. That is in fact 100 percent legal, the straps will also maintain their tension.
So many things wrong with this video it’s incredible. Chain hooks should point up, NEVER down! DOT requires at least a thumbs width of thread left when done tightening for adjustment when traveling. I had to stop watching because of all the mistakes
how will the hooks point upwards if the chain is routed completely downward? Honest question. Are you saying just put the hook on the stake pocket upward (no teardrop?) Because it’s no way you can do a right side up teardrop to a chain that’s routed entirely downward.
