I have the LS50's and became a huge fan of the dual concentric design. Can't imagine how good the sound of home theater dolby atmos would be especially the sound bouncing off the ceiling. KEF is one of the best engineered speakers and another great entertaining review.

What about Bose? Have a lifestyle 48 and just love it. Also own Kef Q750, Q650, Q150. Kef is the cats meow, however, the Bose is a lot easier to setup and use. For most people the Lifestyle systems sound fine.

It looks like a great set up. I currently have a budget wharfedale home theater system but with my limited space and room design I just can't get the most out of my system and I couldn't figure out how to get around the room situation but this setup is the solution! Awesome! Thanks for the videos, I have really learned a lot from all of them. Keep up the great work!

Your dollar-centric reviews are real world thinking. You've helped me balance cost vs compromise and value. The construction of stereo gear is generally what pushes me toward a purchase, for example I bought a Willsenton R8 based on your review, and I bought KEF LS50's because of your description of it's construction. This review hits my highlights with details on concentric design and set up.

This KEF series seems to possess everything... and it's ability to scale up or down... yet retain the core Uni-Q voicing, represents such solid product viability. Living with big coaxial LCRs, they image and throw a coherent soundstage simply due to the technical attributes of a coax. Plus, and oftentimes overlooked, the minimum listening distance being so close, affords the KEFs a great deal of latitude in usability. Again, solid content, All the best

Have been a patreon member since the SMSL DA-9 award review and have been saving up for it and speakers to replace my 30 year old BIC Venturi V52's. I have loved these since high school but realize it is time to upgrade. Have been binging other reviews, and this has to be my favorite so far. I can totally relate with the room size (I have a 10x12x9 myself!), and the flexibility of the Q series to be both audiophile stereo and full Atmos surround is highly appealing. I especially like the ability to put the atmos module on the wall!

Hey Jay. You guys are going BIG with this one. What an awesome giveaway!! You've come such a long way in a short time. Good on you man! Keep these good reviews coming. I bought my mother in law some mid size uni-Q towers in the mid nineties. After that, I was in her circle. Always a good place to be with the in-laws! Lol. Kef has been making the Uni-Qs forever. No wonder they are so good. Cheers from New Brunswick.

Recently rescued a pair of KEF 103.2 Reference speakers, built in the '80s. Amazed at how well their speakers hold up over time. No foam for the surrounds so all of the drivers still work great and have that classic KEF sound. Would love to have a complete KEF surround setup like that. With the Q series borrowing technology from the References series these represent a great value for the dollar. Nice review!

Great job Jay and Thujan! I saw your review of the Q950 in your home theater a while which made me go out for a demo at Visions. I totally agree when you talk about the imaging. I think it’s all about that concentric driver which also makes a difference with the center channel. I really fell in love with the Kef sound that day, but a lass my budget isn’t at the point where I can pull the trigger to bring them home. Any way, great review and as much as I love your two channel reviews I’d love to hear your impressions on more home theater setups or at least center channels. There’s hardly anybody doing reviews of center channels. Thanks

It's refreshing watching you explain, in plain English, how to set up and get the most from a Dolby Atmos home theater system. You make home audio fun and interesting for the vast majority of us fledgling audiophiles. As an old school audio enthusiasts since the late 70's, I have always had an intriguing interest in surround since since I first heard Top Gun played at a friend's house in the mid 80's. I have the room to set up your Kef system and if I were blessed enough to win the contest, I'd video the installation and sound checks for you and all of us viewers of yours. Keep on doing such a great job at providing us with invaluable information and resources that helps guide us along this lifelong journey. All the best! Steve

I have got the Kef Q500. I went to my local dealer and said I want a set of speakers in a certain price range. He demoed me several speakers from Canton, B&W, but the moment he turned on the Kef's I knew I had to have them!!! I felt like I was getting a private concert. Those uni-q drivers are my absolute favorite since then. And for those who are sensitive to high sounds, these are especially great. The highs are absolutely smooth but still accurate. Would recommend them at any time. I would really like to listen to them in Atmos 😍

From what I have viewed impressed me with the workmanship and sophistication of the build and the esthetic delight. It is the very first surround sound that I have liked over the years of looking. I've gotten into HiFi relatively recently. The Kef q150 were actually my first pair of HiFi speakers. I've since moved on to a vintage system and tried several other brands, vintage JBL, older Kef towers, Tannooys, vintage and modern Klipsch etc, but I always remember the Kef sound signature very fondly. I'm not sure what you guys meant by intellectual, but that's my comment haha. Thank you all for keeping this channel running and for reviewing lots of interesting stuff! It's nice to see other fellow young(er) audiophiles have a voice! I've owned this set up but have Q950 fronts and Q350 rears with x2 SVS subs for about 3yrs now and can hand on heart say its sensational. Lucky person that wins this will be happy for along time. One thing I would like to say/add is that IMO the KEF Q series fronts are a fantastic stereo speaker too. I use these as my 2ch speakers through my integrated amp in the same room and again don't have much intention of change. I thought Jay might have touched on the fact the speakers work as well in 2ch as they do multi - of course unless you dont rate them for 2ch listening Jay? Actually I purchased the KEF speakers after reading and watching reviews on the fronts for 2ch and how well they sounded. I went and auditioned and was suitably impressed so it seemed logical for a multi purpose type room to then add the rest of the package in for when I watch movies but initially it was as a 2ch speaker that brought me across them. Great review on the set up. One tip I found worked well is for the Dolby Atmos up-firing speakers after the Audyssey calibration finished I found them to be a little underwhelming so I bumped them up a few DB and it made all the difference. Cheers,

Kef is a company that is defined as a perfect amalgamation of form and function. And still provide value for money. My dream Setup is Ls50 wireless and kc62 sub at the present moment. And am saving up for it. But a complete kef home theater system would be mind blowing.

KEF speakers are amazing (sound and design) . I have a pair of Q150 in black. Definitely would like to try those atmos modules.

kef design game is just spectacularly astonishing, I've been opportuned to listen to a kef speaker"was a pretty old kef speaker" it was a game changer for me, and till date it's still the best pair of speakers I've listened to"haven't listened to so many good speakers tho lol",and I absolutely agree with every kef speakers review I've watched on RU-vid, anything for a good soothing sound, especially now that' is offer for free? Mehn I've taken all the steps listed out,and I hope I win this, love from Nigeria..
