Now that GA4 using data driven attribution model, would you recommend using GA4 conversion import or Google ad conversion tracking for ad campaigns?

Hey Aaron, thanks for the great and very helpful content. I have a question: is there any way to add a monetary value (i.e. the value of a purchase) to the GA4 event, so that it shows up on Google ads? That would really help to properly estimate Ad ROI.

Thank you for the video. When you set up a goal in Google ad, do you choose primary or secondary? and what do you set up a conversion value for a service business you cannot tell. Thanks again

Conversion tracking - lead gen I track my signups as secondary conversions, while primary conversions are categorized as qualified and converted leads. For instance, out of a total of 10 leads, 5 are qualified. Among these 5 qualified leads, 3 eventually make a payment or convert. I maintain two separate offline conversion action sheets: one for qualified leads and the other for converted leads. Is this the right approach, or should I focus solely on tracking qualified leads as the primary conversion metric?

Thanks for the video Aaron, I followed all steps. Everything seems to be fine during the whole proccess but the performance max campaigns are not registering these conversions.

Do you have any videos on how to actually SET UP the conversion code on a website? For instance, is there a plugin for WordPress that will integrate with Google Ads to track activity on the website? Google's website seems to assume that a developer is setting this up and doesn't seem to have an option for non-techies.

Hi Aaron, We have come to a problem with one of our clients where Tag Manager does not give us the option to install the tag for GA4... only gives us the option to ad events and the google tag. Have you found this on accounts you manage and can you recommend how to solve?

trying to figure out how to track an 'add to cart' click (and/or a purchase) for a specific product as a conversion (in woocommerce)... help please? [in ga4] - in a perfect world I could learn how to track conversions for 'email/newsletter signups', 'phone number clicks', and 'purchases' (of specific products).

Hi Aaron, I followed your steps and I'm stuck at the seeing the Google Tag firing up. I am trying to check how a click on the WhatsApp chat button on the website converts. GA4 already adds this as an event on the GA4 dashboard. I am stuck at the place where you added the Event after the Configuration tag.

Hello Aaron, I've found your profile recently and I love watching every one of your videos(so educational). Also I am not really sure if I understood, but if we connect GA4 form submission conversion to Google Ads profile it would count all form submissions on our website(include organic conversions) as a conversion from our website, right? Hey Aaron I'm still using my google analytic AU for my Shopify store. I think my google analtics AU linked to google ads are still able to track conversions on google ads. Not running ads at moment. just want to set up before i do it. So I'm wondering or its necessary to set up conversions in google ads true GA4?

So i try to set up my conversion tracking so i can track purchases on my website, figured id look at a video so i dont mess it up.. Now im hearing about GA4, tag manager, google analytics.. TMI! help. 😅

It can take some time to understand the process the first time you go through the set-up BUT after you have worked out the process you will be able to complete this quite easily

Beware of the preview function in GTM. Testing this will still fire off live form fill outs so if you are doing this for a client, make sure you call them and warn them that they will be getting false leads sent to them temporarily.

If I provide the same service for the same product with different models, how do I structure a campaign. I sell custom iPhone cases, so do I create one campaign with different ad groups for each keyword that is similar to "custom" (E.g. Ad group 1 : KW = Custom, Ad group 2: KW = Personalised, Ad group 3: KW = Customised. And keep the headlines generic for all models (E.g. "Custom iPhone Case)). Or do I set up ad groups for each different iPhone model so I can create detailed headlines and descriptions specific to that device (E.g. Ad group 1: KW = iPhone 13 Pro Max, Ad group 2: KW = iPhone 13 Pro, Ad group 3: KW = iPhone 12). If I do it the latter way I mentioned, do I need to then seperate the related keywords into more ad groups for the same device? (E.g. Ad group 1: KW= "Custom iPhone 12 Case", Ad group 2: KW = "Personalised iPhone 12 Case", etc...) If you can help me out by answering this I will purchase your guide immediately. This has got me so confused, I used to run SKAG text ads but that is no longer available.

Hello great question and I hope this helps (& that I have understood your question) - I would go with the 1st but also use Dynamic Keyword Insertion in the ad copies so that if some uses a different model number like 12 or 13 it would show in the headline. I believe this is out of date. Google GA4 Configuration tag no longer exists and has been replaced by Google Tag. Also, no mention of tracking conversions in Google Ads versus Analytics.

It was clear untill the moment u selected a trigger you already made at 8:20 - this is where the video became confusing for me. I am setting up this for ecommerce tracking and from here the video seems useless to me.
