I have one of these that wasn't used for half a decade. After powering it up it became troublesome, disconnecting with wifi disappearing. I opened it up & replaced the single 100µ 16v capacitor. I used a 220µ because its what i had. Its been solid ever since.
I have a question regarding your video it was a great video very simple to understand. My question is after I complete the setup just the way you did it in the video am I able to unplug that Ethernet from the laptop and plug it to another source like my DVR for my camera's is that ethernet line going to have internet feeding my cameras after it's all set up
Hello I got the same adapter. But. I’m using the ridge part. In the connection status it says connected but nothing happens. I don’t get a normal 192.168 address. Can you help me please to figure out what is going on?
How do I know the bridge is working once I’ve set it up? ONCE YOU HAVE ADDED IT TO THE WI-FI YOU CAN THEN REBOOT THE BRIDGE AND THEROETICALLY BECAUSE THE CONNECTION IS VIA THE ETHERNET PORT YOU WILL GAIN INTERNET CONNECTION HENCE MIRRORING THE CONNECTION THE PANEL WILL HAVE.
Hello I recently gotten Xfinity with TV, as I moved into a new apartment. I then realized that the router and the TV are in two tirely different rooms, and was wondering if this could work with Xfinity Internet to be able to hook up the TV box.
Have tried many computer, from Windows to Linux, the page (192.168.254.254) never comes up with the page to enter the password (admin/admin or 12345678).. plenty of led blinking but it never worked. What do the various blink patterns mean? The reset button doesn't seem to help. The company page (www.vonets.com/case.asp?ClassID=16) just points to this video. Any idea how I can get a SlingBox (SB-300) that only has a ethernet/lan (RJ45 connector) to connect to wifi?
When the VAP11G-300 doesn't work for some device, please change the "Transmission mode" setting to (MAC layer transparent) STEPS: scan hotspots--->choose wifi hotspots--->next---->Transmission mode(Mac layer transparent)
Music makes me so happy.. why ? tis the same music I heard in Jasmine spa.. İt was very happy ending with not so awesome asian massage.. But yeah I was happy towards the end...
If anyone is wanting to know if this works for your device..... the basic rule of thumb is...if it has an Ethernet port then it will work. Just configure the device for your WiFi and you are good to go. I plugged this into a Plotter, a HP color laser printer, a postage printer, a PS4, XBOX360 , Raspberry PI, Atomic Pi, Rock64 and even an old dell laptop that did not have WiFi to begin with if it were not for a PCMCIA Card. The Rock64 is a small board computer that does not have WiFi either. Just plug in your Ethernet cable into the devices Ethernet jack and plug in the USB for power and let it connect to your WiFi (after already having properly configured it to the wifi).
@@darrenlaird2844 it should, as long as they have an Ethernet jack to connect to. Unless you setup the wifi device itself to be a receiver to the lights that are wifi as well. Either way it will work. I paired one up to a cell phone and then plugged it into a postage printer.
Can this device create a local wifi connection itself? The use case I have in mind is to turn a non-wifi printer into a wifi printer. I do not have an internet connection at my disposal.
If you have a wifi hotspot, this device can be as wifi bridge to connect to your printer. The printer will have wifi. But before you use it , need to configure it first and the printer must have the RJ45 port
Why this VAP11G-300 can not connect to the iPhone? For iPhone, that is because the iPhone update the firmware and forbidden some connection. If want to connect the iPhone as hotspot. When you do the normally setting. At the same time, please change "hotspot authentication mode " to "SSID and password authentication mode(No MAC certification)" After that, reboot the device. It will be connected. More questions, please contact the support: support@vonets.com
Doesn't VONETS DEVICE support the Linux System? For Linux system, it needs to change the setting of the Speed&Duplex. Steps1: Login in the setting page---->LAN Setting ----> Ethernet port---> Speed&Duplex, choose the (100Mbps/full Duplex)
When you want to re-configure, why do you need to use the domain name vonets.cfg to enter the setup interface? After configuration, the source hot spot will assign new IP address to the WiFi repeater, so it won’t be 192.168.254.254. If you still can’t go to the configuration web page, suggest you close the source hot spots and try, or reset the WiFi repeater.
Power on the item, connet the item to the computer as video. And remember to shut down the wireless network. Then try again. Or you can try 192.168.254.254
Power on the device, after 60 seconds, long press Reset button until 5 seconds, the green light will flash, then the device will automatically reset to the factory default parameters (it will take about 80 seconds to reset the device), please keep the power on during the time of recovery to factory default.
Hi, sorry to hear that. I think you can contact the technical support from Vonets. Maybe the power supply is not enough. Maybe other reason. Their emails is: support@vonets.com
After I click on the network it ask for a SSID so I type in the password and it has a apply iron and back button. I click the apply button and nothing happens. What am I supposed to do?
As you described, you just need to power off the device and power on again to restart the item. Any questions, just feel free to contact the support: support@vonets.com
Power on the device, after 60 seconds, long press Reset button until 5 seconds, the green/blue light will flash for few seconds, then the device will automatically reset to the factory default parameters ( it will take about 80 seconds to reset the device), during the recovery of the factory operation, the product should be powered on, otherwise it may cause damage.
The RESET button is not doing anything for me. I tried waiting a few minutes before holding it down, I have held it down for way longer then 5 seconds. I have even checked and the button is completing the circuit when I checked with my multimeter. I have this already setup but changed my SSID of my WIFI and now I cannot reach the config page using the IP nor the website
KamaChen Does this unit also support 5G networks? My guess is no since I can't seem to configure it for my 5G. If it doesn't what Vonets unit does support 5G? Thanks!
support@vonets.com If you have any questions, you can contact the support. How do you supply the power for this device. It is better to use 5V, 2A adapter. Then the voltage will be more stable.
PLUG THE USB IN....use your mobile WIFI search for network.. logon to the VONETS_XXXXX If not there then you need to reset the unit by holding the reset button for 10sec an it will restart then you find the vonet SSD. And connect password:12345678 use browser enter 192.168.254.254 you should be in .. username/password: admin....... do your changes then save it
Could you check the light of the item? If the light flash fast, you can reset the item and try again. And also can try to use by smartphone to configure out.
That's due to your browser has been configured to go to "Seach-error.com" if the address you typed in is incorrect/non-existant. Make sure to type in correctly: vonets.cfg or 192.168.254.254
Sorry but it makes no sense to connect at the wifi at the end. The device is supposed to bring you wireless connection through ethernet. It seems you were connecting directly to your wifi there, without even needing the device.
@@kamachen9538 I have a similar problem. The link doesn't work in my browser. I have tried many different browsers. Does the device need to be attached when attempting the website? With or without the device plugged in that website doesn't work. Any suggestions?
@@JesusAnyNameWillDo Firstly, do you use the 5V,1A power supply? Seconldy, could you check the status of the light noramlly? When powered on, the bule light will flash. After check this, they are all OK. You can try to set it up by smartphone. You can watch this video for inferance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eukqqLLTr8A.html
All that, and then at the end, you connect the laptop to the wireless network with its built-in wifi adapter, not the adapter, to show us that you have internet... *smh*
My son in law plugs this into my modem at night and so bypasses my internet password, NOT HAPPY... can’t find a way to stop this @#%£ device short of taking a hammer to it...
The only thing this POS does is flash blue lights. Plugged into 2 Windows 7 laptops and a desktop Linux and you cannot log into the POS. Sending back to Amazon and will leave appropriate review.
