A year ago, I went on a YT/TT/Insta research spree. Watched hundreds of videos on rates for videos if you're an influencer. Your video from 2 years was one of the best, and I had it saved under a page called "influencers who knew what the fuck they're talking about". Last night, I went on another huge research spree. This updated video was in the recommended, and it was even better than the first. Thank you for your financial transparency and these fantastic videos. They helped me out a lot.
I just wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU so much for this video! It was honestly one of the most informative videos I’ve seen lately. You couldn’t of broke it down any better than you did. It also came at the perfect time for me as well as I’m getting ready to create my rate card. Your’re amazing girl ❤️
OMG, I was just sent my very first whitelisting/user request today for a collab. Had no idea what it meant. Thank you soooo much. Not only do I now know what it means, I also know how much to charge and how to ask for it professionally and confidently. You’re the best! ❤❤❤
awesome advice! thank you so much. we're thinking about our first brand deal now and we've been struggling with knowing how much to charge. This has given us a lot of food for thought. we'll definitely be reading contracts thoroughly!
Outstanding video! Thank you so much, Queen! I just got offered a paid and gifted collab combination from a brand that I LOVE. We began with a gifted collab and they just offered me the combo. I had no idea what to charge them since I am a Nano Influencer with high engagement. This helped so much!! Continued success and GREAT JOB being your amazing self!!
I have a page dedicated to home interiors and under valuing my work in that industry is something I’ve done way too often and totally regret it because most times I’m basically setting up a whole movie scene, putting together furniture or buying extra decor or props for a specific look, editing, time, attention to details, etc. It’s not until you start doing all that work behind the scenes just to get 15-30 seconds of video that you realize you should’ve charged more making you feel overworked and under paid lol!
this is so helpful, thank u so much!!!!!! i used to be so worried about not knowing how contracts works or what my rates should be that i just ended up ignoring brands reaching out to me (oops), but now that i'm coming back to content creating after a long break i am determined to know my worth!! you are so encouraging in this video and set everything out so clearly that i really feel like i can do this!!
This is truly THE most helpful video I've ever seen regarding this topic. As a blossoming creator, I can't thank you enough for being so transparent. VERY much appreciated!!!!
Thank youu soo much for this video 🙌🏾I haven’t rlly put myself out there to brands because of my engagement buh 2 brands reached out to me for the first time and one of them was a gifted Collab the other is a paid collab. I personally think my content is improving and I want to make sure I’ll finally start making the money I see my content is worth💯
This is the most transparent video on how to set rates on youtube hands down. Kudos to you because not only are you being open but you're also inspiring! Thanks for existing and sharing this info. You're deeply appreciated.
This was a MIND CHANGER for me. I was just about to sign a contract for whitelisting and saw the 'perpetuity clause' and I was like 'No' ! not signing this contract !! THANKSSSSSSSSS SOOOO MUCHHHH ! I FEEL MORE CONFIDENT NOW :))))
Lexi, your vidoes have been so helpful! I have fallen into UGC content by accident and love it! It’s through a new IG account I started recently. Would love to see a video on where to find more brand collabs. Do you have any videos covering that in more depth? Thank you again! Love watching you 🩷
This is so helpful. I am currently writing up a response email to a brand that is asking to use my content indefinitely! I stopped to search RU-vid because something about that just didn't sit right with me...and I found you! So here's to me emailing " I do not sign perpetual contracts.. buuuuttt..." lol
Thank you babes!!! So informative. A brand just asked me to provide my rate and I went on YT to see how I should price myself and I found you. I'm so happy I did!!! This was very informative and helpful. I now feel confident replying back to that email 🙂. Thank yoooouuuu
I only have 8k subs on RU-vid. I get a lot of gifted collaborations with affiliate links, just recently have they started asking for a rate card. You have helped out so much. I create videos for local companies and I know what to charge for production, but really had no idea on social media content. SUBBED!
Very good. Thank you so much. Quick question I am new to collabs and have done gifted/affiliated collabs. I am wanting to get into paid sponsorship and was curious to know if a company sends me a product to review should I still charge for the video content. Thanks again for the information.
@@LexiLuxury quick question hun. what about friends & family? how do you go about it? should a small influencer charge the people they know? how do you do it? I am learning here with you! thank you 🥰
Tnx for the great content dear Lexi👏⚘who writes the contract articles? The influencer or the customer? Is that contract really working in law? Is it efficient internationally?
Yay! I’m so glad it helped! And I think a good combination of both is great. As long as you are posting consistently and showing up, brands will find you naturally. But you don’t have to wait for them to find you first! You can always introduce yourself, and ask if they have any campaigns available!
What is paid or organic usage rights? Digital rights? Whitelisting? What are the different rates for each? Could u do a little video on each compared and tag me. Lol 😊
Thank you SO much for your transparency! It’s so informative, I have a question though. How many followers and engagement is needed for gifting and PR?
Thank you so much for this really very informative video! Quick question , on some influencer platforms needless to mention the names, they don’t even give influencers any chance to negotiate the duration of usage rights But instead , incorporate an agreement stating that as and whenever an influencer opts in to campaigns on the respective influencer platform they automatically agree to sign their rights away for usage rights and paid media rights in perpetuity, and that the rights to the creators contents will be irrevocably owned by the platform and the brands with no additional payments and compensation The only payment that will be given is the payment rate that was quoted and mentioned at the beginning of the campaign for the posting price only What is your take on the above? Should we opt in for such platforms? Suggestions from anyone most welcome and will be of great help Thank you again for your time and reading through
Hey! I always say to use your better judgement before applying for a campaign. If the usage rights look ridiculous for the rate, then I wouldn't recommend applying. I do know that some platforms allow you to negotiate directly with the brand though! I hope this helps. x
Question! So whitelisting rights and 1 year usage rights in replacement of In-perpetuity, would those two things be charged separately or as one? Just as an example, whitelisting: base rate ($450) + $135 per month(30%) = $585 then if client is also requesting 1 year usage (x12) so is that an additional charge or would the final payment just be the whitelisting price $135 x12 + 450=$2,070? Are whitelisting and 1 year usage two separate charges? I hope that made sense, thank you for this video!! So helpful
Here’s the link to the money magic course! stan.store/lexiluxury/p/get-the-money-magic-course I changed the call option to an email option (seemed to be *much* more helpful / allow for more time): stan.store/lexiluxury/p/book-a-11-call-with-me-fzmsl 💓
Thanks so much for your videos!! Does that chart include usage rights and exclusivity or are they the base rates? I keep seeing prices and formulas for those extra fees, making the total price much higher and I'm just wondering if my math is mathing 🤔😅
But what about when you’re first starting with a brand the “3month trail window “ I guess . They just send me the product and I promote as I want. After those 3 months so I theeenn tell them my rates??? Pls and thank you
How about Facebook? I have 11,000 followers. A ladies clothing boutique contacted me about doing a try on haul for Facebook. They’re giving me free clothes to try on, and I’m already set for one video, but they want me to do another in a couple months. The free clothes are nice, but I think I should be charging for the videos too? They did tell me they said they are open to negotiation.
What if they post my content on thie account tagging my name as a collaboratore or just merely mentioning my IG account? Is that considered usge rights or just normal sharing?
Thank you so much for sharing the information. Can you give me any advice on what I should charge for replacement link in my bio for 7 days currently at 68K on TikTok I have no idea what to charge 😩
I like to use a link hosting site like link tree (I use stan) so I don't really charge extra for link in bio! If they're not asking for other deliverables, I'd say around $150? maybe more if your link gets a lot of action and you don't have a link hosting site.
Love your vibes and just started binging your content ❤! Need your advice: we’re in the middle of a contract negotiation and a brand wants to know our “one time rate” for product photos we have. The chart mentioned $130-$175. Would that be per photo + usage time? Or just a flat fee for the brand to have the photo in perpetuity?! 🤔
rate + usage time! I would charge per photo but some people will offer 2-3 pics with their rate. Up to you! Just make sure it makes sense for you financially!
