@@ulagriffin2411, I understand your concern though there's no integration happened yet so far. I tried running with Roku remote using Roku app but no chance.
Yes, because Amazon and roku never had a deal to work on. Amazon fire stick itself has similar channels license like roku has such as Hulu, Netflix, Vudu etc.
Make sure to switch the HDMI port from your TV remote. Sometimes there are more then 1 port up to 4 in one TV and when you insert the fire stick in let's say 3rd port and your TV is on first HDMI channel then you have to switch it from TV remote by going in the "source" option.
I want to do opposite of you: I want to use my ROKU remote on my FireTV. Is this possible? Do I simply buy a Roku fire stick and plug it in and proceed?
I was reconnecting my firestick after a trip and it was not going any further after I opened the app. I completely forgot that Roku remote doesn't control the fire stick, thanks for the reminder.
Fire stick isn't a software that needs to be installed. In Roku TV, simply connect firestick with the TV HDMI port and from screen choose that port. Make sure you login into your Amazon fire stick account.
if you lose the internet then you have to contact your internet provider. if you lose the fire remote then get another one and once you turn on the fire TV then follow any guideline from google that helps you pair the remote which I remember is about matching a few digits code from your screen on your amazon online account. Also, you can download amazon fire tv remote app.
@@discoverwithmansoor it literally says connect your fire stick to you Roku tv. Yet from the beginning your remote is already connected. The POINT is being able to use it at all. Our remotes are not connected in the first place 🤦🏾♀️
@@MsAlyMonique Again, they're not automatically connected and not exactly with the roku TV. your fire TV remote will work once you're entered in the Fire Stick, simple.
my advice , dont buy roku, HOOOOOORRRRRIBLE customer service, pay more, save or get a smaller tv, they SUUUUUUUUK at helping you. but thank you muhammad for helping.
Fire Stick is not an App. It's a HDMI/USB look like device who's one end goes to the power outlet and the other side goes in TV HDMI port. There you go into Fire Stick HDMI channel and login with your regular amazon.com user credentials and then in the settings turn on (download from unknown source button) from the device section and then use downloader App which is orange color look like to enter the unique link to download free movie channel app(s).
@@Paradox3627505 in fire stick ypu can use third party channels for free movies and TV serietor anything for kids rather subscribe fully loaded channels on roku/hulu and watch the same thing by paying monthly price.
I understand but no way we can use Roku remote for anything else other than roku TV because Roku TV has no integration inside it's chip board to pick up any universal remote.
Yes, you can. Like normal TV channels, you can switch but remember that once you entered into fire TV you can only be able to use Fire TV remote control, and to exit Fire TV you'll have to click any key like a home or back key from Roku TV.
