Let's break down your problem. You have a dual sim capable iPhone, but you don't see the cellular option available when you navigate to settings, correct? You have a SIM card in there currently, correct? It might be easier to post screenshots, but RU-vid comments are meh. Can you tweet screenshots to @caputo?
I have Verizon, i changed my physical sim to the esim and working fine. My question is can you add a physical sim to same iPhone 11 Pro Max from US cellular? Thanks
I answered my own question. Yes you can transfer Verizon service to the esim and then add a prepaid physical sim plan from is cellular and then have two lines of service on iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have been successful in doing this. I live in am area that has a Verizon “dead zone “ and that area has good us cellular coverage.
@@jayardorado8757 Hi mate, I have the same Hong Kong version of IPhone 11 Pro Max…can you please advise if can add eSIM in it? I tried but couldn’t find anything. Thanks for your help:)
Hi, I have I-phone SE 2017 model. I need to have dual SIM cards activated. Is there any software or an app to have eSIM or Dual sim cellular option plz.?
It's not the news you want to hear but unfortunately the first generation iPhone SE doesn't have the physical hardware components to run dual SIM dual standby (DSDS) which is present on the iPhone XS and later.
is sprint that dual sim/esim carrier? i only learned about this now from a sprint rep whom used to work for apple. he didn’t say anything if sprint is or isn’t applicable with dual sim/Esim
So can we still use a physical sim? Could we not get our main number as a E-sim & then also put in a physical sim for when abroad on holidays? I get the E-sim option but a lot of those plans seem way more expensive than the local plans. I'm planning my iPhone upgrade & was wondering this, sorry if you already touched on this & it somehow went over my head, Little confused.
Great video... Need your help... I am located in Arkansas,USA. Existing T-Mobile prepaid customer. Is there a handset that will let me use 2 connections? ... I want to use the T-Mobile connection as eSim and another connection from a different line as physical sim. Please suggest all handsets that will allow me to do that.
I might not understand the use case, but you should be able to use the iPhone 11 (and newer) since it has dual-sim with one physical SIM card and up to 10 eSIM cards.
Instead of selecting Primary and Business all the time, I wish they made it so you can switch from Primary main screen, or Business main screen. If you’re on the Primary main screen, everything you do is from Primary. If you were on the Business main screen, then everything you do is on the Business number
@@ItsCaputo I wish they made it like that. I feel it would be so much easier switching from personal screen and settings/apps... to business screen and settings/apps
I came across your video which was so helpful. I am in a quandary! I need to have 2 lines on 1 phone for a temporary time limit. 1 for personal, I want to use my dual sim to be able to use the second phone # on my phone for work only (temporary). I want to use the work line on WiFi only so that I do not have to pay a ton of $ for the second line. Obviously I have to active a service via ESIM to obtain an actual phone number. How can I do this on my iPhone XS with out having to pay excessive amounts of $ for services on two lines? Any insight on that?
Hi Amber, The most cost effective way is probably adding service through Google Fi for $17 per month for voice only service. I don’t believe the service is available if you’re physically outside of the US.
Tech 24/7 TV I'm still waiting for my HK version of Pro Max and I'm worried if it will drain the battery I need physical sim because I'm working abroad and esim also is not available yet in my country.
Tech 24/7 TV a bit late but I’ve used Verizon on both one and 2. It works on both slots just fine, plus CDMA is being shut down at Verizon so CDMA fallback isn’t so important anymore
I've got two sim cards right now, one local the other one from my home country, how can I use my both numbers on iphone Xr? This is a bit confusing, you can get Skype number without having dual sim phone and you still have two plans and two phone numbers using data service on your sim card o_o
Sorry for the late reply. First question is do either of your carriers (local carrier or the one in your home country) support eSIM? That's the first requirement that allows your carrier to program the embedded SIM card on the iPhone XR. You can find the list of carriers here: support.apple.com/en-us/HT209044
same! it’s such a hassle and you have to hide it from people so they don’t question why you have 2 phones and you’re ridiculous for having 2 phones 😂 that’s what they say to me or to “get rid one phone” 🙄
i have the iphone 11 and it has the dual sim esim option. if i added my second line to it, what happens the icloud? (both phones are iphone and have separate icloud accounts and emails)
But what you're not saying is you actually have to pay to Providers like for example you have to pay cricket and AT&T for dual SIM because I obviously one provider is going to be AT&T and the other provider is going to be Cricket for example happens to be cricket and AT&T have the same network so let's say for example cricket and T-Mobile for example that's dual-sim well guess what you're going to have to pay both of them or service even if because the phone is dual SIM and that is of course if you have the two services you have to pay both carriers
Does the phone have to be unlocked and NOT branded to one carrier? I assume yes, it must be unlocked and not branded. So how do you deal with the fact that AT&T does not use the same technology GSM vs CDMA that Verizon does? I've had a bunch of issue with trying to put a sim card into a phone that is limited to the one network. Can I get phone that can have a verizon sim card and an AT&T?
Well this is 6 minutes of NOT “How to Setup Dual SIM”. This video talks about all kinds of stuff but almost zero content related to how to setup dual SIM. should probably rename this how to like and subscribe to my RU-vid channel and use cases for dual sim. Zero things in this video taught me how to set it up.
