How to setup H100 series chinese VFD for 2.2kW 400Hz 380V 24k rpm spindle. For 1.5kW or other probably should be similar. There is an explanation how to wire it up and set basic parameters to get it going on 0-10V external analog signal out of a CNC board (for example, or any other control device like PLC etc).
VFD used: Chinese H100-2.2T4

Recently I have successfully converted my CNC that have the exact same VFD from manual spindle speed control to USB/MACH3 spindle speed and direction control. - I used a DC-DC converter to lower the 12V VFD power supply ( P12 port ) from 12V to 10V and then wired it to the 10V port on the board : - I wired the AI1 to AVI - I wired the GND to ACM Then I used a 2 channel 24V relay module to control the spindle : - I powered the relay directly from the board, connecting the VCC from the relay to the 24V port and the GND from the relay to ACM from the board. - I connected the In1 pin on the relay to the Out1 port on the board - I connected the In1 pin on the relay to the Out2 port on the board - I connected the X1 and the GND port on the VFD to the relay first channel (first 2 outputs while facing the relay upwards) - I connected the X2 and the GND port on the VFD to the relay second channel (first 2 outputs while facing the relay upwards) That's the missing part of wiring in the video, just follow the function parameters ( F001 = 1, F002 = 2). For the MACH 3 pins, I just downloaded the XML file from the build your cnc website. Good afternoon. I would like to congratulate you on your work. I bought this spindle and the same inverter. I've already managed to turn it around. but I was unable to connect with Mach3 as you did. I could make another video showing how to connect the cables inside the inverter and in the mcah3.

Buen día ; muchas gracias por el trabajo que realiza. Tal vez podría ayudarme? Configuré el motor según las especificaciones del video pero al encenderlo debo retirar una plaqueta negra en el interior para que inicie punto y coma además no se puede modificar la velocidad con el botón manualmente; sabe cuál es el problema y cómo solucionarlo? Muchas gracias por su ayuda.

Hola. La configuración de este video está bajo control remoto del motor. Los parámetros deben cambiarse para operar la perilla. ¿Quieres controlar la perilla desde un inversor?

It is strange, because I find that several items you bought I also bought the same like the vfd and the ac servo. Which are not common in the internet cnc users. I bought the same vfd (220 single phase) , I have 2 questions I supplied 220 volt single phase and started the motor right away. Everything went fine. Later I was setting the parameters, I noticed that the motor voltage parameter was set to 380 volt. So I changed it to 220. first question : The inverter should not have capability to supply 380 if it is fed single phase 220. Could it? I mean it is an inverter not transformer. So even the setting for the motor voltage were at 380, the actual voltage supplied to the motor was 220 v. Otherwise, the motor could have burned. Second question which vfd pin is for M5. Or how do I externaly shut the spindle off. Is the mach3 or linuxcnc user interface for spindle-off fed to the vfd and to which vfd pin? Thanks for this good video Philip

Im always trying to get the best out of my money 😁 About the questions. I'm not sure about the voltage but you could try to measure it with a voltmeter. The second question - there is no need for M5 pin as if you want to stop the spindle you just turn off M3. When you put M5 in the control board it will just shut down the M3 relay (or M4 if you have M4 rotation on).

If you have this H100 inverter like on the video I did it like this: AVI wire from red BOB -------> AI1 input on VFD considering that you set the parameter F002=1 (external signal control with Analog input 1 - AI1) and F001 =1 (external signal control) and ACM wire need to be connected with the GND on VFD hopefully it helps - this worked for me (remember to apply 10V voltage to the 10V input on red bob - without this the analog output on red board won't work )

Hola. Ya no tengo acceso al manual de este VFD. Si no puede usar el potenciómetro en el panel y desea un potenciómetro externo, tendrá que usar la configuración como muestro en el video con entrada de voltaje externo. Por lo general, en los VFD, conecta los +10V y GND en los pines externos del potenciómetro y el 0-10V regulado está en el pin interno (generalmente). Pero como mencioné, este VFD no tiene una salida de 10 V y sí una de 12 V, probablemente exista la posibilidad de usarlo, pero no tengo el manual para ayudarlo con la solución exacta aquí.

Tengo el variador de 1500w y la placa akz250, no consigo hacerlo trabajar, problema, no se las conexiones de la placa al variador. Haber si me podeis ayudar.

No utilicé este controlador cnc. Debe tener una salida de 0-10 V de la placa CNC para VFD como la del video.

Buenas, no tiene relé, la targeta he conectado, la salida PWM al Al1, gnd con gnd del variador, forward en el pin 4 y una resistencia de AO al Al1. Me funciona, lo que me ocurre ahora es que demora mucho tiempo en alcanzar las 24000 revoluciones. A qué puede ser debido? Lo mismo no lo tengo bien conectado.

Alri bro. I'm back. I was looking through some of ur videos and I found this one. I have one of these. I got it off Amazon for 30 Euros. 2.2kw 380V VD.. I don't know how to set these up so this will hopefully help me a little. Nice one. This is the 1st video on this one I've found man so thanks.. haha Salute from DUBLIN. So can I ask why there are 3 phase and single phase VFD's ? What's the difference in a way I could understand. I don't have ur knowledge about these things... I think I need to study more about CNC's bcos I'm going to attempt to build my own soon. If u can give a little advice I'd be grateful. Thanks bro..

hello, I have a G-PENNY H100 -2.2-1B VFD and I don't know how to reverse the direction of rotation on startup. it turns counterclockwise. what parameter should I change? thank you

@@danielricaud3783 I don't remember exactly how to change the direction in manual mode, but in CNC control you will just use the external signal input X1 and X2 where X1 is for M3 - clockwise and X2 is for M4 - counterclockwise.

@@danielricaud3783 Changing U and V on the VFD shouldn't change the direction of rotation. But you should be able easily to get it from the panel though

Hola, tengo el mismo VDF pero cuando lo pongo a funcionar el variador no envía la frecuencia máxima de 60 hz, envía una frecuncia de 20 luego aumenta a 22 luego a 24 y nunca llega a los 60 Hz que necesito, alguna idea al respecto.

Saludo hermano una consulta tengo ese mismo variador, ese variador se puede poner que encienda automáticamente cuando llegue la energía sin la necesidad de presionar el boton run?

¡Hola! Creo que podrías configurar el VFD similar al mío aquí y simplemente, en lugar de usar el relé, simplemente conecta el GND con X1 con un cable recto.

Yes, but i used voltage converters to achieve 10V out of that 12V

@@jonaslland5490 I used step-up and step-down converters. If I remember it well I couldn't use just step-down converter because the min. voltage you can achieve out of it was like 3V less than the original one. So I bought at my local supplier a step-up converter to convert the 12V to about 14-15V and then I used a step-down converter to hit exactly 10V. Those converters were adjustable in some range of voltage. This works already for about 2 years.

@@GBWM_CNC Thank you so much for this! That makes sense. Do you remember how many amps you rated your step up and down converters for? The VFD says it has an 11 amps output, but I dont know if that much goes through this output as well.

@@GBWM_CNC baje los 12v de entrada del p12 con un regulador a 10v ok todo bien pero igual me queda marcando un valor inicial, lo peor es que al arrancar por mach3 en 300hz y 18000RPM velocidad maxima de mi husillo no varia pero al disminuir la velocidad empieza a variar de arriba a bajo y viceversa

Sadly I don't have it in "pdf". I got a chinese printed version. I was using google lens in my telephone to translate to english what I needed. Worked well for me
