Why are so many people complaining about MPVI2+ being restrictive on emission stuff? It looks like yours did what was needed. I have the MPVI2+ and am concerned I won’t be able to do everything I need for an off road engine. Mine is an older P01 GM computer.
They removed alot of emission stuff in the newer versions. You can still download an older version, remove all emission stuff and flash it with the newer one
@@matteo5754 Thanks. That’s what I was kinda asking. I have used older versions and have a newer and have yet to see the difference. Maybe it impacts newer ECUs more than the older ones.
@@general23cmp I had this problem just a few weeks ago on my 2005 Ram SRT-10. They deleted the Cat delete Options in the newer versions. I think i did it in the 4.8 and it worked. Even the Dtc`s i deleted would still show up.
I have a shitty 02 sensor that i want to bypass without lifting the car and actually removing it. If im gonna lift the car ill just change it, but i wonder can i just trick my computer in to thinking its not there?
You can use it on many vehicles. If you go to the HP tutor website, you can look up your vehicle and make sure it’s compatible. you can use it on many different kinds of vehicles :) you just have to purchase credits for which ever ECU you have and it’ll tell you how much in credits you will need to unlock your ECU some ECUs do need to be sent out to be unlocked as they can’t just simply be done through an OBD two cable, until the initial boot pin unlocking has been done
