What I didn’t get is how you got the background fabric on the underside of the blocks. Are we to put the backing fabric on the underside of the hoop while we’re doing some of the steps?
No, we join all the blocks and border blocks together, open all the seams up with an iron, lay the joined blocks onto a piece of lining/backing fabric then to keep them together, we stitch in the ditch up and down all the seam joining rows.
Bought the pattern this evening and getting ready to get started. What the heck is “The Pink Thing”? Context. ‘We used the Pink Thing to hold down the batting so it does not bunch up’
We did use our Glitter Red PU Faux Leather on this project. It is very sparkly and gives off an amazing shine. You can find it at the link below: swpea.com/products/perfect-pro-faux-leather-glitter-red-0-7mm
It is a nice quilt, but I do not have a machine that does that. So, I'll have to find a video for blocks and a quilt that does not involve a very expensive embroidery and quilting machine which I do not possess.
Sweet Pea sells machine embroidery designs so you are watching the wrong channel for you! There’s plenty out there for quilting, this is great for those of use that do, or simply enjoy watching.
As a non-quilter and non-waster of fabric, all I could think is 'What a waste of fabric in the applique". Does anybody use a Scan N Cut or other cutting machine or even a pdf to cut out by hand??
We provide SVG files with all our designs and this is our article on how to use them swpea.com/blogs/machine-embroidery-blogs/6671?_pos=4&_sid=d67d76bb0&_ss=r
