@@terrellking4174Short id say, in general with shaving, razors get clogged easy and should be rinsed often for maximum efficiency. Pay attention if hair is clogged in the blade gaps.
Don't see many people using tabac. My grandpa used to use all of their products. Brings back some memories. Thanks for the video my guy. Greetings from Germany 🤙
My Rockwell 6C and Rockwell blades are mainly what I shave my head with. I do three passes, one with the grain, one across, one against. I switch plates each pass and go 5 3 2. Excellent results every time. The key for me switch into a de blade is the section off the head, it makes it so much easier. Great video, first time viewer. Looking forward to seeing more. Take care my friend 💈🇨🇦
Hey, thanks for stopping by my guy! 🙌🏻 Agreed the Rockwell for the head is great and it sounds like you have your system down pat! I am mainly enjoying the Leaf as it is much faster and easier to use but from time to time I’ll do my head with a DE. I always do around the ears with a DE no matter what. You know I don’t think I’ve tried the Rockwell blades yet, I’ll have to pull them out and give ‘em a go. Have a great day bud! 🤙🏻
@@terrellking4174 It’s intuitive after you build the muscle memory. But if you’re just starting off what you do is you roll into it. So start at a safe angle higher up on the top cap of the razor, then slowly roll down as your using a down stroke. Very light pressure at first. You will feel it catch the hair. But it really only takes 5-10 shaves with a razor before getting to automatically know how it works I’d say. Once you get good it’s easy.
Good video I have been shaving my head for 30+ years but always used a cartridge razor or electric but wanted to go back to using a DE Razor for trimming around my beard and thought hmm wonder if I can use it on my head. And your video helped a bunch thanks brother!
You’ll save a fortune. I have been shaving my face and head with a DE for 20 years. Cost me about $5/year to shave, and I’m not filling up landfills with plastic disposables.
Barbasol can be good but as for "not slick enough", the foam really needs more water which can be added to the lather on the face or into the brush and brought to the face; then Barbasol works better.
@@KnifeCrazzzzy How much Barbasol and how much water? Barbasol with additional water can work very well. I tried this a couple of times to be sure and familiar.
@@KnifeCrazzzzy When you have an old can of Barbasol sitting around going unused, you think about it, unless you choose to simply discard it. Or choose to use it for something else.
I used a safety razor for the first time yesterday and cut myself 3 times, but i also built my first lather which i think was WAYYYY too dry. Next time i'll use a little more water in the puck and re-apply lather so it doesn't dry in!
Congratulations! Ya the water level can very pretty dramatically from thin to thick. I like it in-between myself. Until you see a glossy looking sheen in the lather. Just add a little bit at a time.
I’ve heard the defender is a great head shaver! But I’m good with blades of all sorts and sizes doesn’t matter what it is so it comes natural to me. But it’s easier then you think. Well at least if you have a steady hand it is.
@@KnifeCrazzzzy cool brother, maybe in the future..👍The defender is good for a headshave but it dont last sharp as much as gillette razors, atleast not for me.
I’m so glad it helped! 👊🏻 Thank you for the comment. I will do this anywhere from 1-3 times a week. If I’m lazy I’ll just do it once a week on Sundays lol. But I know guys who don’t mind shaving everyday like this. It won’t hurt anything. I use to do it every day myself. Just depends on your level of hair growth and if you want a completely clean smooth head or if you don’t mind a little fuzzy.
For most of these razors that is true but there are a few newer models that have a angle range(harsh to mild depending on the tilt) and arnt intuitive like most of them. But generally you are correct for this style.
Nuh a leaf. Either the leaf, or leaf thorn. More efficient. Plus uses same blades. Atm I shave my head with disposables more or less everyday. Takes me like 3mins. I don't understand blokes who shave maybe once a week.
Different strokes for different folks! I use the leaf 98% of the time. And shaving I’m just lazy these days. I go in and out of how often I like to shave.
Thank you! It’s completely up to you really, depending on job and how professional you need to look, but I recommend maybe two or three times a week. When I’m lazy I do once a week on The weekend, but ideally 2-3. Like Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Possibly Sundays. Or maybe Sunday and Wednesday kinda thing.
@@KnifeCrazzzzy What's your shaving frequency with against the grain? I shave daily for two years now. I do with, across, and against the grain. My main issue now is the little scars I got compounded from nicks, cuts, and scrapes. I'm starting to get frustrated, as I'm not yet sure if there's a chance to completely get rid of it.
