Buying meat at the grocery store is confusing…
This is why I created Lineage…
I wanted to make the highest quality meat snack I could possibly make. It took me 2 years. But we did it. Check us out: lineageprovisions.com/psmdyt
Our meat sticks are 100% grass-fed and are sourced from the best regenerative farms on the planet…
Add some fruit to it and you have got the best animal-based snack…
Meat, organs, eggs, fruit, honey and raw dairy are the most nutrient dense foods for humans…
It's always meat / organs / fruit / honey / raw dairy…
This is an ANIMAL-BASED diet, and I believe this is the most optimal diet for humans on the planet...
Check out my ANIMAL-BASED CALCULATOR here: www.paulsaladinomd.co/ab-guid...

I buy regenerative ground beef with mixed in liver and heart (REP Provisions) when I have the extra cash and they have a sale as it is pricey. Normally due to cost, I buy 100% grass feed ground beef if it is at a decent price. When things are a bit tight, the regular ground beef will have to do. No matter what, it is better than processed foods or carb rich crap. Buy what you can afford.

Same. I looked into buying a 1/2 a cow. Regenerative beef it's $13 a pound versus $5.50 grain finished. It's hard to do the (most) right thing when grass finished Costco frozen burgers are $5 a pound. I know it's not as good as regenerative. I know my dollars to support a local farmer produce meat the right way is important, but Jeeze is it hard to pay more than double to do so.

I agree, but what he said about regenerative meat being carbon negative is not true, no science has shown this. The main issue with cows is not even carbon, it's methane. And grass doesn't sequester methane from the atmosphere because plants don't breath methane, they breathe carbon dioxide. Also, he makes it seem as if eating meat is completely free of things that are bad for you. I realize there are anti-nutrients in plants, but it's not hard to find plants with low levels of things like oxalates, phytic acid, lectins, and cooking most of the time reduces or eliminates them. He doesn't realize meats are full of heavy metals like lead, cadmium, mercury etc... just a few months of not eating meat, these heavy metals will reduce by a 1/3 or more according to studies. Even organic meat is even full of things like dioxin, pcb's which are linked to cancer. You can read this in the study below: "Consumption of organic meat does not diminish the carcinovenic potiental associated with the intake of persistent organic pollutant (POP)." Not to mention these "anti-nutrients" have shown to have anti-cancer effects, unlike POP's. "Phytic acid suppresses inflammation moderators in colorectal cancer cells." "Several lectins have been found to possess anticancer properties in vitro, in vivo, and in human case studies; they are used as therapeutic agents, preferentially binding to cancer cell membranes or their receptors, causing cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and inhibition of tumor growth." He tries to spin it like everything in organic meat is good for you, because you are avoiding anti-nutrients. Even the blood in meat (heme iron) has been associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes. Even meta-analysis has shown that milk consumption is associated with an increased risk of cancer. Milk in vitro actually promote the grow of cancer cells, studies have shown there, where as almond milk suppresses it. Scientists think it's all the estrogen and igf-1 hormones in milk that does this. I'm not vegan, nor am I against the consumption of animal protein, but to make it seem like because there aren't anti-nutrients in meat that it's all good, is false.

Pemmican was a staple survival food for indigenous people of North America. I love the idea of such a clean, well sourced beef stick with organs included. This last year has been really rough on me and my family. The cost of grass-fed meat has gone up so much that my wife and I argued several times over whether we should sell our house and move somewhere cheaper just to be able to feed our kids high-quality food. My wife had to start working again just so we wouldn’t have to move or buy low-quality food, but that has also put a strain on the time we spend together and the time we get to spend helping out our kids. I appreciate you and your channel though Paul. You always know where the best deals are at and how to buy healthy foods on a budget. Thanks again Paul!

We can’t afford regenerative meat. I stay home and homeschool our kids and I’m still breastfeeding our baby. So I just buy bulk grain finished 80/20 ground beef, and I buy regenerative beef when it’s on sale at sprouts. To me, just cutting out all the garbage seed oil, sugar and processed foods and replacing it with beef, eggs and butter and fruit puts our family’s health well beyond 95% of most Americans.

And grass doesn't sequester methane from the atmosphere because plants don't breath methane, they breathe carbon dioxide. If I'm wrong, please cite a study showing regenerative meat is carbon negative please. There is a lot of misinformation in his videos. While plants do contain anti-nutrients, they have proven to be medicinal, so it's not all bad. "Phytic acid suppresses inflammation moderators in colorectal cancer cells." "Several lectins have been found to possess anticancer properties in vitro, in vivo, and in human case studies; they are used as therapeutic agents, preferentially binding to cancer cell membranes or their receptors, causing cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and inhibition of tumor growth." The only one I would avoid are oxalates, and lots of veggies are low oxalate like cabbage, bok choi, collard greens, most types of lettuce, watercress etc.... Meat contains all sorts of things that promote cancer like neu5gc, igf-1, hca's, heme iron, and even lots of toxic metals like mercury, cadmium, and lead which bio-accumulate in the meat. Even if it's organic it doesn't reduce the presence of these persistent organic pollutants. Studies have shown, even a few months of avoiding animal proteins, these toxic metals and POP's reduce in your blood by 30% or more. Your gut microbiome can adjust to anti-nutrients studies have shown this, not so much with heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants which are far higher in meat than in any plants due to bioaccumulation. I'm not vegan, and I'm not against eating meat, but just because meat doesn't contain anti-nutrients doesn't mean everything in meat is healthy and doesn't promote disease.

Its weird I just saw a video from a farmer talking about how regenerative grazing has saved him so much money in feeding his cattle. It was a shorter video so maybe there's more too it but why then would this be the most expensive?

I’m currently on a vegan diet to see what the impact will be on my body and so far I’m seeing fantastic results. I don’t eat processed vegan meat because it’s like what’s the point. If you choose to go on a vegan diet you should just eat natural foods. Also everyone’s body chemistry is different so there’s no use in making generalized statements like consuming meat is the best for you because for some people that’s not the case at all. Not everyone craves meat. I’m doing great without it 👍🏽

Hi Paul, appreciate you. I know you have shared a lot of studies thoughout the years. Can you please do a video with the MOST important studies condensed in one video, with the intent to get us as much "black and white" facts as possible to be able to get our loved ones that we have, that are hurting because of veganism, to consider eating animal based? Please like or reply this comment, so I know I'm gonna look forward to this video?

In the UK pretty much all beef is regeneratively farmed, 100% grass-fed, because that's just how cows are raised. It's not marketed that way because they never did the whole corn-fed thing. I remember learning about crop-rotation, when I was about 9. That was over 40 years ago. Industrial farming is mental!

I've been trying to find what the best/cheapest way to buy or order beef in bulk is. Here in southern California, if that matters. Anywhere from 50-200 lbs of grass-fed steaks and ground beef, I want to fill up one deep freezer (7 cubic ft?) and maybe get a second freezer later on. I've looked at prices on 1/8 and 1/4 cows from a local pasture that I would order online and wait 6-8 weeks for it to arrive. But with Butcherbox I can apparently get more beef for less money, and not have to wait 6-8 weeks? That's if I order 2-3 of their big boxes, on a monthly subscription. But I saw some reviews on them showing that not all of their beef is grass-fed. And is it properly frozen when it arrives? Can beef last over a year in a freezer? Is my best bet using one of these monthly subscription box companies? If so, which one? Or should I go to a butcher shop and see if I can get a deal on bulk beef? I also checked out what I can get from Whole Foods on amazon prime and it's more expensive.

Vegetarian is certainly not bad, if you include pasture raised eggs and raw cheese/milk you basically have most nutrients you need, at that point you can easily supplement some nutrients that are found in red meat. Vegan would be much more difficult though.

Thank you for sharing! I have never seen the regenerative beef in stores here in Canada or 100 percent grass fed...hard to even find grass fed here unless it's lamb and the odd time bison but hard to find since they are really just pushing halal meat here. Also they have made raw dairy illegal here 🤷‍♀️...

Regenerative raised livestock also has a reduced parasitic load, and don’t need to be wormed, since they are moved away from the source of the parasitic infestation.

I buy grass-fed beef but I am not sure if I should be getting the 85/15 or 93/7. For some reason I just like the taste of leaner beef more, but I am trying to bulk up and gain muscle so technically the fattier beef should be better? Or if I get the leaner beef and add my own fats to it in the forms of cheese and butter would that work too? Please help I've been going back and forth trying to figure it out for a few weeks now. And when I did use the fattier beef it did not help me gain weight. It just kept me full for hours and I struggled to eat.

When I go to the grocery store (HEB), what most people are substituting the cost of buying organic or grass fed with are processed carbs and sugars like churro flavored chips, candy and all type's of snack foods. Skipping the soda isle would compensate for buying grass fed beef. So many boxed foods need some type of crazy flavoring that is usually in an MSG form or maltodextrin. They end up spending more money, have more cravings and end up eating more as a result. Grocery stores have specials and coupons so consumers pay more attention to snack foods than they do on getting nutrition. Cost should not be an issue but it is a shame that it is that way for most consumers. So good to have alternatives and mindful companies that educate those of us that need to be thrifty with our grocery bill.

I agree with all your arguments about regenerative meat, and know that spending more as an investment in those positive factors is worthwhile. However, many people -- between poverty and poor nutrition and diet, and the failures of the corrupt corporate health care syndicate -- cannot be convinced, or lack the ability to make such a lifestyle change.
