Fast Mondays n Thursday : don't eat or drink from sunrise to sunset, eating habits at meal time: 1/3 food , 1/3 water n 1/3 keep empty! (Advice given 1400 yrs ago)!
You can shrink your stomach naturally with discipline and self control. I used to eat the same amount of food in 1 meal that now would be what I eat for a whole day. After that, you don't really need that much food. It's not starving yourself. It's training your body not to store fat.
@@alicia-hd2csSelf control in your head is so important and remind yourself everyday when you're hungry why you are doing the weight loss. You must be ready for the weight loss meaning you are at the stage of your life where weight loss can change your life. People going into weight loss that's are not committed cuz they're not ready will not be successful. Your reason must be more important than food. Your weight loss must be your number one goal cuz it's very hard thing to achieve. It's harder than university. For me, is to be more attractive so I don't get bully anymore. Your reason must be so important that you'd rather starve and shaking than eating more food. tell yourself that your life will change when you loose weight. My life did change when I'm more attractive now. Put away food in sight. Lock them or donate them. If you don't have any food sitting around you can't eat. If you don't see food you don't crave food. Reward yourself with things other than food. I used to go to restaurants to reward myself for any reason. Now I use the money to buy clothing or anything else other than eating. Don't load your counter and pantry with food. Clear them out. When you go to the mall for example, make sure you are full first. Take a different route if you know the food court is ahead. Don't hang out with people in eating meetings. You'll stuff your face. Skip those meetings. At work, do not go to the kitchen and eat sweet people brought in. Stay away so you don't see the food. Don't let people near you persuade you into going out eating with them. It's your goal not theirs. My own parents and husband don't even care about my goal. When your head tell you to go eat cuz you're bored or whatever reason, remind yourself why you want to lose weight. And again your goal must be very important to you to overcome the hunger.
We do not need snacks of any kind. Back in the 50s and 60s we ate 2 to 3 meals a day with no snacking at all. No one was fat back then. Snacking is what is making people fat and ill.
@@FitMotherProject We ate whole food 3 times a day. No processed food at all. Absolutely no snacking of any kind. Really does not matter about the chemicals cause they had it back then to, they started using chemicals on our food back in the 40's. Rising of your insulin is the BIG problem and by eating snacks it raises your insulin, thus we get fat. We surely can go 4 hours without putting food into our mouths. We should really only be eating once a day, maybe twice a day depending on the person, but nothing more than that!
@khpriac And look around to all the fat kids now. Fat childrens was heard of 20 years ago. It is said at what the school feeds the kids too, its all carbs. :(
@@lynettegayle-turpin6202 The carbs that are bad are the twinkies, pies, puddings. donuts, breads, etc. I grew up on carbs like sweet potatoes, yams, beans, corn, rice, tropical fruits ( all whole foods), meat once per week; 3 meals per day, no snacks and was stick thin into my forties.
@Milk ! well you can always find excuses for not trying. We can't chose our body so we have to work with what we have. Only because others are more "gifted" it doesn't mean you cant get where they are and even surpass them.
It's not a lot of hard work. It's just consistency, same as it was to get obese. 3 months goes by quickly wether you're eating less each day, or more ;)
Ok. I am going to start my journey with you all. I am 50 years old. I just had a birthday. I need a major change. My nest is empty and it's time for me to take care of myself.
I only eat food when I feel hungry. Maybe 2-3 times a day but it worked out. I try to take lesss food and turns out quite an easy way to shrink my stomach. It's a practice which everyone should do from the very start.
I have been struggling to lose weight, especially to get rid of the bit of my stomach that sticks out. This video definitely provided some insight and info on how I can achieve my goal.
I'm confused.. Technically I'd be IFing eating only between 12 and 8. but if I drink half a gallon of water in the morning my stomach would still expand which you said we're trying to avoid to decrease hunger cycles....🤔
Funny I have been watching videos on this topic. All the “experts” in white coats say eat more often to eliminate hunger and shrink stomach. None of them ever recommend any kind of fasting. Fasting does work. Thanks for sharing.
You’re a Godsend with your videos. I found you by accident whilst looking for Christian sermons. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I started walking last year and lost a lot of weight which I never did with gym exercises. I have wasted money paying for gym membership and it’s only through walking that I lost weight and managed to keep it off. My problem is the stomach area and after watching your talk I will start practicing intermittent fasting. Thanks so much.
I watch a lot of video on RU-vid for fat burning but I can’t get any good information. When I watch this video I really get helpful information from it. It is actually good methodology. I really appreciate to you for making helpful video.
Do you have any tips on night time snacking? I'm really trying to push protein, I get 72-96oz water a day, but as soon as I get the kiddos to bed...I feel like I need to snack!
Hey Hot Latte, thanks for writing in and we have a great video just for this question! You can find it here==> pulse.ly/wnps6fakqw Thanks for watching! -The FMP Team
Great question! This may be a viable strategy though having too much can run the risk of diluting your digestive enzymes. Though this is a good strategy to do throughout the day for the same reason. -The FMP Team
informative details on the functional details of the stomach , didn't know how the hormone Ghrelin signals in relation to stomach shrinkage , definite share material.
So I went to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack 12 yrs ago. Dr said 3 meals plus two small snacks and the cardiologist gave me an explanation of why fasting g for long periods was dangerous for my health. Followed his program combined with walking and lost 120 pounds. Fasting is used in many cultures but in many it's not permanent it's used for short periods of time. People don't address what happens to your stomach for example gastritis which I know happens when you don't eat for long periods of time. Haven't addressed what happened s to people which need to take medication during fasting hours, haven't addressed diabetics (which I was told specifically not to fast by the cardiologist and internist). So the fasting fad in all of its modalities I don't think is always healthy are appropriate for all, also what about the age of the person or the climate they live in? Fasting in hot weather is not the same as fasting in moderate climates, what about fluid consumption? Careful thinking is required when suggesting things, most overweight people require desperate so we don't want additional problems.
Same...i am 16..5'5 and 64 kg i wanted to loose weight and completely starved myself for 4 days (meaning i ate lilttle and my stach shrinked) next day i hada function and ate food properly next day i had the worst stomach pai ever....and i was in a bad condtion...Doctor said that it is because i disnt eat food and stomach was shrinked and suddenly surprised my stomach with more food and that caused stomach pain
How long were you fasting for? Fasting for 16 or even 20 hours isn't a big deal as long as you eat. After that. Fasting for multiple days is pretty bad.
Fasting is not a fad, it is a rediscovery of how our ancestors ate for tens of thousands of years. The “eat small meals frequently, with lots of whole grains” diet is the fad. Forgive me for saying this but your doctor’s idea of “fasting” is inaccurate. The point of fasting is to reduce insulin/insulin resistance to allow for fat burning (gluconeogenesis) and autophagy. Eating five meals a day is going to keep your insulin levels ridiculously high so it defeats the point. The thing about diabetes is completely wrong too. Eating 2 meals a day, low in carbohydrates (including fruit, oats and wholemeal flour) and richer in animal sources, is guaranteed to reverse T2D. If you want i can send you a couple of the 50+ credible videos proving this.
Fasting causes none of these problems for 90% of all people. Quitting at the first sign of anything uncomfortable is up to the individual. Your cardiologist giving nutrition advice is iffy at best.
I did that! Eat at 70% full, drink water when crave hunger attack. Worked really well for me and I was happy Then something happened, there'll always be something ? It was vacation I think.. eating schedule got out of whack and said to myself that I'll get back to it when vacation is over. But... it was not easier to bounce back as I thought it will be. Glad I chanced upon on this video and I would surely fight back again 😊
Can I ask, if you limit the times for meals so that you eat meals within a smaller time frame, why do you recommend eating a snack at 3 pm? Aren’t you better off just eating meals and not snacking?
Hey Heidi, thanks for writing in and great question! You have it absolutely right that if you can shrink your eating window, emphasizing your main meals, it's more ideal. This fits perfectly into a typical 16/8 intermittent fasting schedule where you eat from something like 1030am-630pm, fasting the other 16 hours. Then your meal times could be roughly 1030ish, 2-230ish, and 6-630ish, without the need for a snack. The snack is more for those who eat on a traditional schedule to help prevent splurging or overeating when their next meal finally does come. -The FMP Team
Hi just started to do some of your workouts really good I'm a gym goer but with covid I started to work out from home watching your stuff help to make home workouts easier as not all equipment is available
Hey Ed, thanks for writing in and great question. BP coffee can be considered a type of meal that allows you to naturally hold off eating but we wouldn't necessarily classify it as a meal. It helps keep hunger at bay, while keeping insulin levels lower because you are taking 0 calories from coffee, mixing it with a butter or an MCT oil to help keep you satiated. However, you are forgoing protein (which is essential for developing/maintaining lean tissue) as well as many vitamins/minerals/fiber that should be part of a healthy intake. -The FMP Team
Awesome! Really happy to have you with us. Explore our channel. We have a ton of awesome stuff here. Our website is also a fantastic resource. www.fitmotherproject.com/blog
I was ill for a week from having an upset stomach from some curry I ate, after a week of being ill I lost 2 kgs and also my appetite has changed and I can only eat small portions, so I’m kind of happy lol! But I was eating fresh fruit , fresh juice, soup in afternoon or lentil curry, and in evening I had steamed veg and bit of rice . Sometimes I ate yoghurt with fruit for dinner. Don’t starve but train your body to eat smaller portions. This is just what happened to me though and not advice
Mr. fantastic of the fantastic four could probably shrink his stomach very easily, considering he’s very rubbery and stretchy. I’m joking lol I just like to goof around sometimes.
Love that you made Fit Mother Project, it's given me and my wife something to do together while getting healthier at the same time. After watching your video we've decided to finally give intermittent fasting a shot, I had no idea it could have this stomach shrinking effect. On top of that I've heard a lot of other great things about intermittent fasting, I think this is really gonna help us shed those extra pounds. Thanks for helping, you're the best!
I have no idea that there's stomach shrinking method before I discovered this video. Dr. Balduzzi has given a very detailed explanation on how to shrink the stomach. This will help me to plan for the weight loss!
I have never heard of the 4x4 method. I've always heard of an 8 hour window, or eat 6 small meals a day. I think I could do the 4x4 method. I will have to give this a try.
