It was so badly designed, if u bought the game physically like I did. Its a literal disc spinning, so if u shook the psp slightly too much, u get an error message pop up. So u basically had to find the right balance of not shaking ur psp, but do that spam at the same time lmaao
This is really helpful for people who don’t know how to spam. This time Hiso is giving more explanation other than using your ARM STRENGTH. (Which worked for me) but still very helpful
It's always such a joy seeing your videos. You have great energy, and it's so fun seeing you rise to the challenges of this game. Not only that, but the various tips you've shared over the years have helped me with challenges too. You really do care about your community and I'm glad to be a part of it :)
As a PSP player 10 years ago, I can confirm that this felt basically impossible on the handheld. It felt doubly so before I realized you could use the dpad to hit buttons, at which point I had mastered hard mode and most extreme songs using only one hand
@@loltoheaven777sreplaystora6 well not every chart 😅 I could complete 8-8.5 stars only using the dpad for doubles, and definitely took a gander at the 10 stars, but they were out of reach one handed lmao. Tbh I can't do this one two handed even with years more practice
I'm having a hard time with getting my left thumb cooperate with the right one and mostly do notes with my right thumb, that's why I'm impressed to see handcams that had both thumbs working together.
See the magic trick in this all is, if u figure out how to hold the controller. Your left hand doesnt need to work with your right. You basically rigged a system where your right hand hits down the button, and naturally the result of that is to send your left side of the controller into your left thumb. This is why many players can do spam notes even when their left hand isnt up to snuff
Thank you so much for the informative tutorial. By building up speed and tension, it makes it really perfect for the stamina to build up strength and also to get speedy and a bit steady at rhythm games to how difficult they might get and to spam perfectly. Thank you so much for the tutorial hisokeee!
It''s okay, very few of us can naturally do it. ESPECIALLY if its your first rhythm game, most players who can do it effortlessly is because of their skill transfer from other rhythm games. Just go at your pace and see what works for you and what doesnt!
@@hisokeee project diva FT was my first rhythm game, and now i can do spams pretty well thanks to this tutorial! younger me would be so proud haha, thanks a ton hisokeee
I’m the complete opposite of you- my stamina isn’t very good, especially when it comes to long streams of spamming, but I have great right and left hand coordination and can very easily do complex left hand switches lol
ive just started playing extreme mode, and am still not good. it's amazing how y'all manage to read certain patterns when it comes to multi-notes in succession, let alone play it correctly. i can't seem to train my thumbs to press the buttons correctly no matter how long i study the note pattern and hype myself up. i hope to someday be half as good as you...well, maybe like a fourth let's be real lol i plan to buy a hori controller in the hopes that bigger buttons will make it easier, that using my entire hand will be smarter than my measly thumbs lmao
Whenever I struggle with a pattern, especially a set of combos, I like to find a video of someone completing that chart and slow down the video. I'll watch the notes onscreen, then re-watch for their hands, and then I'll grab my own controller and press along at the slower pace until I get a feel for it. All the official charts have patterns that really just require muscle memory and spam stamina, and watching those videos can be a great way to start on the muscle memory without overwhelming yourself. It's a shame that the practice mode doesn't allow you to slow down the song at all.
It's an excellent explanation, although for me I know I 'd have to undo literally decades of learning. I grew up playing in arcades, so all the buttons on the console. Left hand controlled the stick, right hand (or finger) controlled the buttons. When home consoles came out, I learned to play those sitting down, controller on lap or a tabletop, where the left side was off off enough of the edge so the left hand could hold the controller and directional pad, right hand (or finger) was my rapid fire button pusher. For the Project Diva series, I pretty much learned to play all of those the same way. 1/8th notes aren't too much of a problem, but 1/16th notes, I can speed it for a bit, but nothing as long as the pattern playing on this video. It never bugged my wrists, but my forearm was definitely sore due to all the movement and continuous tensing up for the repeated rapid-fire tapping. As a bonus apparently according to my co-workers, my rapid fire tapping was so effective that the vibrations went through the entire table. I didn't notice much due to wearing earbuds and paying attention to whatever song I was having issues with. Intense Voice and Sadistic Music Factory come to mind.
Awesome to see you making tutorials in 2022. I first came across your channel when I was getting into Diva F / F2nd and learned so much from your videos and playing your edits. I'm still playing FT on PS4 but plan to get this game pretty soon and dive in to your mod. I'm curious though - how is the timing on the official charts in MM+? Do you still need to adjust the timing on individual songs to sync them properly? Thanks for all the great vids and awesome charts! *3*
They are quite hard to sync and with how window and full screen mode shifts timing on top of everyones diff monitor its a nightmare lol. We try to get it close but some songs are noticably worse. We keep at it though. Also the website got dmca by sega so for now if u want more info u need to join the discord. discord.gg/hisokeee
Thank you for this!! I didn’t know you were using your back fingers and momentum to press the buttons. I just thought you press the buttons really fast. Also you mentioned in the video that your wrist shouldn’t hurt. My wrist generally does, how do I prevent this?
Yeah wrist actually hurting and not your hands or arms is not a good thing. We always tend to stick with the method that gives you best results even if its bad for your health (me with osu) so I recommend trying different positions in how you hold the controller. Example would be play on lap or play with arms elbow resting on a table
Happy Birthday Hatsine Miku 39! I also jhope everyone here has a great Miku Anniversary as well! 15 years! Wow! OH MY GOD AND THANK YOU HISSSOOOOKEEEEEEE
Being left handed is tricky im, following but the opposite, I'm trying to get better. I wish my laptop wasn't so old I could try the training map. But I really enjoy you're training videos.
I have a question for you. So I'd consider myself a fairly average player. I've been working my way through getting perfects on every song and so far I'm about a third of the way through extreme. But I've recently ran into a pretty big roadblock and I was wondering if you had any advice. I'd say I have really good stamina and speed. Most fast spams I can do 1 handed, though I always do both hands when going for the perfect to avoid developing a bad habit and leaving my left hand weak. But although I have no problem doing faster spam, I find it nearly impossible to do slower spam. A good example would be ashes to ashes extreme 8 star. I cannot for the life of me nail the spam sections bc I always overdo the speed when going back and forth. Yet I can do most of the spams in 2 faced lovers intense voice and other much faster songs without stuttering. Do you have any advice on how to get better at slower tempo spams? I can't seem to figure out anything. Also, kinda related, any suggestions on how to avoid speeding up in general over the course of a song? When I'm trying to get a perfect usually my heartbeat starts racing more the further in I get which causes me to usually start to speed up and get a safe. Thanks either way and great video!
Even myself my slower bpm alternating isnt as accurate as faster. But I think this is not your muscle or hands issue but a mental block issue. When you see the notes spaced out that close your instinct is telling you to go faster than it really is.if you think of that on purpose when playing those spams it migbt help break your cycle. (Or you can one hand them too like I do )
Do you have a video about getting speed on double notes? I on Extreme for like Disappearance for example, I can not be fast enough even though I'm both splitting up the for example triangle and square or fat thumbing it. Is it just a matter of grinding stuff like that or is there a trick to it? I'm really stuck lol. Great video!
Thank you so much Hisokeee :’D I’m gonna do my best to practice the spamming since that’s one of the most things I have trouble with. Also, I have mega mix in the switch, where am I able to download your mod and how? 🤔
I can try this as many times as i like but i can't get the speed down, i always try to do it with my right hand on the buttons because i can't dual wield, if i dual wield, i screw up the timing with my left hand
Sounds like my struggle when I first started, near the end of the video I explained to try the P names hard, then upgrade to extreme for those sections. Its the first step to take to start using your left hand in coordination with your right.
can you give some tips on how you get perfect accuracy? like the input lag option on the game, cables you use or how you use them?. i think i have input lag problems but i dunno on how to test or if im even right about that.
Oh yeah that is kinda hard to teach, its somthing I noticed many people have issues with. Even myself I have hard time finding the sweet spot. If I ever have an idea how to convey it in words ill make a video lol
13:02 WHAAAAT? there's a difference between windowed and full screen!? Which one is the better synced?? 😭 Btw real cute to see the same stuff from the 2020 tutorial but with your mod 💕 congrats
Hello there! I don't know if somebody will be able to help me out with this, but I wanted to at least let other rhythm gamers now: So, after some long time without playing Diva, I started getting back into it again, but when I played Future Tone with my PS5 controller (and PS4 too), I realised that, on songs with "intense spamming", the game would register multiple inputs, even if I felt I was not doing them. Turns out that the Dpad is the problem, as my PS4 and PS5 controllers are quite sensitive if you don't press any of the buttons in the middle of them. Basically, if I make the button on the Dpad "tilt" because of me not pressing on it in the middle, it would register the input twice, maybe more sometimes if I "panic spam". Has somebody else ever got an issue like this? Do you use or have ever considered using split Dpad buttons to fix this issue? Sorry for the long message, and thanks in advance for your help! :)
i've had the spammy part down for a while, but any tips on getting the uh.. what do i call them... the notes that use 2 to 4 different notes at the same time can't seem to process which pattern to do quick enough, and it's the only reason i can't get as far in the new game ;~;
Yeah theres no trick for that one, I know what you mean. When its a new song and many notes are 2 diff notes coming at it in groups of spams, your reaction time as new player is gonna be tough. It took me a long time to react to them fast enough but in the meantime I recommend going to practice mode for those parts to pre practice them. That way in the real run you already know what to expect.
Hi, I'm a bit of a weirdo (or an idiot) and I have been playing project diva for the past 2 years using no macros. I sorta hold my PS5 controller like an arcade game. Is it possible to spam like this with no macros?
@@hisokeee amazing. Thanks. I think I just need some stamina training, then! :D I think iivan polka's extreme highlights where it's difficult, cuz it's hard to spam while holding 3 buttons and spamming the fourth but really I should probably just practice with my left hand more haha
Where can I install the mod pack that contains the stamina training chart? Can someone please link it to me because I can't find it in eden's discord edit: nvm found it
I can't really do the stamina training on hard i don't know if its my fingers, hands or if my controller is bad for this game (the buttons are rather hard and take a lot of energy to press and that gets tiring after some times) Also something about the mod i realised. Seraphim is cut of earlier at least on hard. Don't know if that is fixed in the patch or if it can be fixed
i might buy the ps5 controller since it''s better. Wonder is this good with project diva arcade i might try hard on this XD also i think the haptic feedback might work on this also
