Has you metabolism slowed down after a diet? Timestamps 0:00 Intro 0:57 Eat more protein 3:03 Get consistent sleep 5:22 Eat whole foods 7:53 Be smart about carbs
Yes, after six to eight weeks I pig out after the slow down and food restriction drives me nuts. I go back on diet and weight loss returns like a reset
yes, over a year ago started to portion control when i hit 270 went on keto around 235 and started to restrict more to continue to lose after 3 months of restricting more and more every couple weeks i switched to carnivore and spent 3 months of slowly eating more every couple weeks, got back up to about 2000 cal a day and managed to drop weight to 170
One of my favorite things about eating a low-ish carb, high protein, whole food diet is that im less hungry in general. I can eat a snack and then a meal in an 8 hour window and be fine. When I'm on a processed food binge I'm hungry every 2-3 hours, a real vicious cycle.
This has happened to me and the hair loss … I changed exercise and fasting … body started changing in a positive direction and a full head of hair …. I cranked my diet to 45-47 grams of protein per meal
I spent a long time doing paleo keto, with some fasting plus lots of weight training and cardio. The past 2-3 years I fell off the wagon so hard due to life and long Covid. I audited my diet last month and even when trying hard, I was getting under 30g of protein across a whole day. Plus under 3 hours sleep a night. I’m on medication now to deal with some symptoms and just focusing on walking and eating 90-120g protein a day. I wrote myself a basic daily meal plan for 30-50g protein for each meal. Once I’ve got that under control and hitting the exercise goals consistently, I’ll look at fasting again. Already seeing my waist look less bloated after about a week.
Have you tried meloxicam? I found it to be a miracle drug for my osteoarthritis. Just a thought. I’m a Nurse Officer but I am sharing this from my own personal massive decrease in low back and hip pain.
This is helpful. Everything you mentioned made so much sense. I am insulin resistant and I thought by counting calories would help but I will need to add more protein and sleep better.
I like to listen to you because you make things understandable. I am a vegetarian and eat very healthy. I have no idea why my A1c is so high. I went to see a Nutritionist and she showed me a few ways to eat. I do not eat sugar, very low carbs. I do work out 5 days a week and do weights, run/jog 4 times a week which I have been doing all my life. I did not consume too many carbs or sugar before////go figure///////I am working on lowering my numbers./////That is what I am aiming for......the word diabetes frightens me.....thank for your information......MINDY
I’m not even half way through this video and everything you’ve said it true because I have experienced it all. The work I do only has a start time but day ends when my the work is done. I can never go to sleep at the same time nightly but for some reason I wake up at the same time daily. I feel defeated bc everything I need to do is the opposite of what I’m able to do with my work and quitting isn’t an option for me right now. I’m rebuilding…
Was eating 6 ounces of meat and stoped losing weight. Today I was able to eat 20 ounces of course started gradually a week or two ago and I see the difference in my muscles and not gaining weight. I’m happy . Obviously lifting weights 🏋️♀️.
I eat enough meat protein. But I've been eating vegetables with high fiber first then proteins after. This is supposed to reduce the insulin spike from the proteins. Every time I do a 48 hour fast I can lose about 4lbs. I reduced the amount of fat in my meal before the fast which really helped me get results.
I love your videos. After having lab work done recently it was discovered I have prediabetes, so when I went to research ways to deal with it I came across your videos.
Hey, Coach Kait, Can you suggest some alternative meat protein sources if wild caught fish and Grass-fed beef are not available or too expensive? Thank you so much 💓 for the work you do. My notebook is full of the notes I take from your videos.
I have pcos and i have insomnia and dont think i get enough protein very informative video i will defo try the apple cider vinegar and try to get a better sleep routine and more protein thanks love your videos ❤
So what do you recommend for someone who has a problem digesting proteins from animal products? They actually make me sick and I’ve ended up with intestinal infections from it.
Kait, I have acid reflux and take Omeprazole for it. Would it hurt if I added a quarter teaspoon of baking soda to my electrolyte water with the apple cider vinegar added? To tone down the acid effects?
I used to videos like this ages ago! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aiJANTqWQH8.html Maybe I’ll get back on my bike and make a new one soon… when the weather warms up a bit 😇 Good suggestion!
How can this be true eating protein speed up for metabolism? I am Insulin Resistant so I ate protein for 8 months becoming a Carnivore. I did not eat Carbs, sugar, fruits, vegetables or grain and I did not lose any weight. I had to change my eating to 85-90 % fat, 10-15 % protein and 0% carbs. Now I am starting to loose the fat in my body. I am still the rations between fat and protein. Any help would be appreciated.
I have tried using the ACV hack as suggested. I diligently followed the preparation protocol and actually using more than 8oz of water. My problem….my throat has been burned and it is taking sometime to heal. Do you have suggestions on how I can utilize this hack without experiencing a burned throat.
Hi Kait, I am on a low carb diet and I've been eating meat regularly. My metabolism and protein are still low. Please advise how I can boost these? Susan
Eat more meat, sea food, and butter. Eat less of everything else. If you are just changing diets recently, don't worry about fasting - your body is probably deficient in nutrition which means you should be eating whenever you feel hungry, and you should be eating until you are very full.
1. Move your body 10000steps a day minimum 2. Lift weights and do cardio. 3. Sleep 8h. 4. Medidate box breath 2 times a day 5. Focus on whole foods. 6. Laugh!
08:04 The best way to be "smart" about carbohydrates if you are a human is to never eat any. There are no essential carbs, so why stay addicted to them? It's like telling an alcoholic that it's ok with a small amount of alcohol every day, but don't overdo it! Poppycock.
@@HealthCoachKait Can you explain that please? Do you already have a video addressing this? Other than apple cider vinegar, what should we put in the water? Please don't say salt as I am salt sensitive.
I always ate carbs wearing clothes and still used to have insulin resistance🫣 . Imagine if I ate them naked 😂. Thanks you made me realize I was getting sick a year and a half ago and now I’m way way healthier.
