Mate, as far as the sachets are concerned, you can buy a 1kg tub of aluminium sulphate off ebay for £8. It's the same stuff. Saved me a fortune. Try it pal. Love your channel. Been a spread 20 years 👍🏻

Whats your process how much per bag do you use?

@@D.T.67 I two coat with the same gear. Usually just knock two bags up. Don't need to flatten in-between coats as I put it on flat. As always it depends on the temperature so i just started with a couple of tea spoons. Then you'll find your own way it pretty quickly as time goes on. I like my gauges to be about 2hour 15 minutes. It's the same stuff but a lot lot cheaper. Give it a go fella.

Have you tried the quick set over normal multi, as in just lay in with it so yout got time to put a bit more on but dont have to wait so long for the troweling process never used the quick set bags

Great video Alex 👍🏻 Quick question... how do you tell when your first coat has gone off too far to second coat? oh and if it has gone what are your options 🤔

If there is no shine to the wall, it has gone matte in texture it’s too far gone. The second coat won’t bond properly to the first.
