It's amazing all the options you have with only $500. Could be a lot of little mods, one big mod, or a combination of the two. For my 9th gen Corolla, my favorite mod was the Magnaflow catback exhaust system, which I did when my catalytic converter needed replacement - although that was more than $500.
Yeah this was more of a combination of a bunch of little mods. I would rather get many mods for that amount, then to just get 1. Because I think my exhaust was a great upgrade, but it was almost $400. So you wouldn’t really be able to get anything else with that!
My catalytic converter is due to change and I’ve been thinking about getting a new exhaust with it as well. I looked up the exhaust system you were talking about but they only have it for 03-06 so I was wondering if that’s the one you got for you 9th gen Corolla
@@djavandenis787 Hi, sorry for late reply. Yes the Magnaflow I got was for 03-08 (9th gen). The price of new catalytic converter from Toyota was close to $1,000 from dealership. Installed would have been more. I bought both catback exhaust and catalytic converter from Magnaflow for less than $1000 online and had it installed at local muffler shop for less than $200.
Found your channel while looking up a guide for putting some fog lights on my rolla, and I just gotta say your build is absolutely sick and incredibly inspiring. Thanks for being awesome!
Good job, enjoy your posts every week. I have 2009 Corolla S, same color. Love the car, easy to maintain and work on. Very reliable mechanically speaking. I considered going with a wrap for the roof and hood, ended up rattle can repaint with color match paint and 2k clear coat. It's been fun so far
Thank you! I’m Glad you have been enjoying the videos! And rattle cans are much cheaper and easier as long as you know how to paint. But I agree this is such a good fun car to drive and work on!
2011 Corolla S (white), 1. Changed to a Sony Stereo, 2. Changed all speakers to JBL. 3. 5% tint back windows and 35% front. 4. Got my LED fog lights from Morimoto Retrofit . Gonna paint my rims next. And was planning on retrofitting my headlights but it’s too much work to do it myself and too expensive for someone to do it
That’s awesome! Love seeing others modifying their corollas! But your right the retrofits are pretty expensive, that take a while to do, that’s why I haven’t done mine yet!
Just got the deal of a lifetime. 2006 Corolla CE 1 owner 20k miles. Bare bones. The proverbial plain Jane Toyota. Time to improve it. Do you have video on how to add fog lights? In the future will also be doing front strut tower brace, exhaust, wheels, tires, light upgrade, audio upgrade as money allows. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks!!
That’s awesome! Very low miles for what it is! It’s like a Brand new car! But those 9th gen corollas can be made to be great cars! Here is an old video I made installing fog lights on my corolla. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YL6uZ5qVTf0.html
Have you tried new window switches on the driver control panel? I bought those with white lights but the driver window does not work. It is great but I would like to solve my problem.
yo brandon is this a 2009? if so i have the same one. where did you get your tail lights? i hate my circle OEM taillights. such a clean inspiring build!!
hey brandon, it's me again! i just ordered the cheap radio you linked in the description and was wondering if you had a video tutorial on how to install it?
That’s awesome. And yes here is a video I made installing the radio. It’s one of my older videos. But should give you an idea how easy it is to replace! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pz0ZQbDTHAo.html
That’s awesome! And the strap is just a tow strap I added on. Mainly just for cosmetic. Nothing fancy. If you look at my older videos you will see me install it!
Yes I have been wanting to do this, but haven’t had much time to actually do something like this because it takes some time to get everything perfect. So hopefully soon I will be doing that.
I might vinyl wrap my roof, mirrors, and interior because the hood and mirror starting to fade and I like carbon fiber on dark gray. Then go for the footmats then my new radio with front speakers (kickers) since the blew the first pair. And I want some fins on the roof.
Also my car is the same as yours same color I got the same tints as u lol except I have the windshield also got the rain visors they are sexy, and I got hyper dip on the way to black out the emblems
You can buy LED bulbs for everything except the high and low beam because those housing are meant for halogen bulbs. Unless you just care for aesthetic looks. If you put LED in those housing the light will scatter everywhere you're just going to blind people. And the beam won't throw as far.
Pretty much what silent gaming said, you can put LED’s in the stock housings. (Which is what I have done) but you may blind people for oncoming traffic. I have tried to aim mine a little lower so I don’t affect people. Plus I am lowered about 3 inches too! And I haven’t been flashed or honked at yet.
Here is the link to my video installing the roof spoiler. I have a link in the description for the spoiler. I ordered it from eBay. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7NcmY8lWTrg.html
@@BrandonStellmach damn fr? my brother was talking about the more shit you add you gotta be careful not to add more than the battery can handle. guess he was wrong or something idk
Some people say you might need to upgrade your alternator to a higher amperage, but that’s usually when they have some crazy bass setup needing a bunch of power. But all the things I have added don’t need much power to run.
I've got a 12th Gen Corolla. This thing definitely has an issue with the noise. I've been on the search of finding out a way to figure out what exactly is causing that noise. Almost feels like it is coming from the windows sometimes and sometimes it feels like road noise.
@@BrandonStellmach interesting. That's the first time I heard about it. I haven't had time to figure out exactly where it is coming from. I'm going to read more about it and potential fix and post and update here for others with same issue. Thanks man!
The website I ordered them from is no longer available. But you should be able to find them on fitment industries, because I was going to order them from there before I found them cheaper on another website.
Hey Brandon, this is unrelated but it’s worth a shot to ask. Does your car run rough when coming to stop or in reverse? The RPM will drop to near 400 then go back to 600. This is a common problem and no can seems to figure it out.
Yes my corolla does this sometimes. Not sure why it does. I was told it was my alternator, and I replaced it, it seemed to help for a few days and then it started doing it again. I have change the spark plugs, clean the throttle body. And none of those fixed it. The next thing is to try and replace my coil packs to hopefully fix it.
@@SgtsTanTaco the idoing radio has a higher quality screen, and comes with wireless Apple CarPlay. While the other unit you have to buy a dongle and only get wired CarPlay. And that’s awesome, I’m glad you have been liking the videos!
Hola!!
Love to see more people wanting to modify your corollas. I’m sorry that my videos are in English, because I don’t speak any Spanish. So I hope the subtitles give you enough information! 👍 👍
You will be surprised at how nice some of the android head units have came in the last couple years. But the only thing is they might not last nearly as long as pioneer radio.
Yeah, I wish you could buy some wheels for $500. Mine were fairly cheap and I spent almost $1000 and then I bought a cheap set of tires for $500. Maybe you can buy some used wheels. You might find some cheap ones! So it’s not a guarantee you can find them for that price.
Oh bro i appreciate your time showing us how to upgrade, I live in Caribbean and I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla I need to order upgrade parts like yours do you have a contact number to call
