If,Santa dresses up in red, disregards private property, redistributes the wealth.. Avoids big oil for alternative form of transportation... oh deer, he is a Communist.
Don’t talk to the Elves about wealth re distribution & unionization (rights and plight of the workers) Saint Nick has them working for peanuts, figuratively and literally
LOL Redistribution of wealth is socialist. Communism is no private wealth at all. Neither socialism nor communism care much for the environment. Santa is where the reindeers are, probably Northern Sweden. So a socialist plus probably a follower of Swedish infant Greta Thunberg !
I don't think it was a specifically anti-KKK parade due to the "No War Bases" sign. Rather what I think they were trying to tell us was that the emotionally weak yet politically involved are communists, just not in the most literal sense of the word.
Nice comprehension. The commentator clearly said "we take his word for it" if he exclaims he's a communist. He also said if people support organizations with communist teachings, they might be communist. Please learn how to listen.
In other words, the way to spot communists is if they admit they are communists. Because the video clearly left out anything that would help spotting a communist who actually hides the fact he's a communist. Please learn how to comprehend.
You seem to be forgetting the fact you used the word "might". The video clearly states to take the statement of declaration at face value, regardless of the persons state, i.e. jocular or drunk, seen as the scene is set in a bar. The fact he didn't say "might" in this instance pretty much invalids your little quip. Liberally interchanging words isn't factual.
Thats correct ,in the communists own writings,I'm not part of the useful idiot ideologues they speak to .Just like the people in the constitution are not communists .
If he says hell to capitalism, has an image of karl marx plastered in every corner of his house, openly declares he is a communist then he may perhaps be a communist but we will never know
Let's not be too hasty. He might have tourette's or OCD which makes him compulsively say strange things, and the Marx posters might have been gifts that he was too shy to turn down
@@pauljohnson3851 No it isn't. Being a fascist these days is what it always has been, supporting bigoted ideologies that marginalizes and hurts people.
@@pauljohnson3851 When you realize the West has been inundated with fascism you start to see how nothing has really changed people who are critical of capitalism get seen as crazy communists
it's true though. Democracy is about pawning off responsibility to the populace so the politicians can't be held accountable for their shitty job. Propaganda then serves the purpose of making the people believe that the politicians act according to the will of the people and also reforming the opinion of the people towards the given policy. In essence, democracy needs propaganda since the majority of any population is too retarded to actually form opinions and will gobble up whatever their tv tells them to
Chomsky for sure, and not true. While any government wants its viewpoint supported, in authoritarian systems propaganda is the _only_ way to advance this; there is no space for independent media. A government in a democratic society needs a core of genuine support.
March against KKK is just a front for evil communists! They try to entice you with stuff like free healthcare, justice for all, ending police brutality and regulating greedflation but they actually are communists and as everyone knows (communists included) comunnists are evil baby eaters!
YT is 1984 so it won't let me elaborate (tried many times) but there's a very long historical analysis proving my point which you could find if you actually cared.
@@21stcenturyfossil7 Next they're gonna give the workers more rights! And then black people! And then the homosexuals! Dear God now they can exist freely without me being able to lynch them for existing!
@@user-mb3dx5fl9f I completely agree. The modern "left" fouls the political name used to address those who only wanted to be free from 18 hours of constant factory work and still have no money to move up. Now these uneducated mobs, who got so drunk on peace, want gender to be a political matter. Actual socialist and communists try to make clean toilets for sick children in developing countries, and that act contributes more to the world than whatever the "modern left" got in mind.
What the narrator is trying to say is that benign causes such as anti KKK activism have infiltrated by forces working against America, the banner calling for an end of US overseas bases is testament to that.
What I got from this: In the U.S. you are free to speak and have an opinion. Unless that opinion is the wrong opinion. In which case you have no rights.
Freedom of speach is an absurd concept the moment you realize someone has to enforce it. Once more that things like advocacy for terrorism, spreading sensitive information, hate speach, and obviously critique of the government, somehow arent allowed this freedom. Someone draws the line but theu dont tell you where it is. The soviets were honest: you say shit about the government and we break your ankles (and even then, after stalin that wasnt really enforced). Anything else is ok. Thats why filmaking in the usa was so oddly terrified (insert George Lucas interview abt the USSR) that they might say the wrong thing, imply the wrong kind of message, attract the wrong interests. As such they had that rule book i cant remember, about what is and isnt allowed on screen. Jewish character? Might be a communist. Something to do with dr. King and the black movement? Might be a commie. A character thinks women should vote (even though they can)? Offff, i dont know about that. USSR? None of that, if there is a good party memeber character you can do whatever the hell it is you want. Though most of their art was often in the realm of the experimental, the snow queen, hell, guest from the future has the government as the antagonists. I even know one Bulgarian author who had a book that was debated on if it should be banned because it was anti-communist. He didnt go to a gulag, no no no, they were debating on if they should censor it. I may remember him, but if i dont, the other one is fine too. Meanwhile you suggest affordable health-care in the States and now you are Adolf Stalin, bringer of the apocalypse. Do they even hate Adolf these days?
Lol cept the mother has the right to teach HER kids good social behavior. No one (especially government) has the right to tell me to share any of MY belongings.
What we have is better than what anywhere else on the planet has. Communism has proven to be destructive in every large scale implementation. It's not opinion, it's history.
If he blasts the Soviet national anthem at full volume, regularly quotes Karl Marx, directly and unquestionably states and explains his communist beliefs in full detail, and has a hammer and sickle on everything he owns, you might be able to consider that he could theoretically reasonably be somewhat communist under some definition.
Having anti-capitalist feelings and wanting to rid the tired workers of their bourgeoisie oppressors? Have a Snickers. You’re not you when your hungry.

in all honesty, I truly wonder how drastically history has been rewritten prior to the internet and how much we conform to this rewritten history thinking it's the truth
History cannot be rewritten and decent historians get through the tons of propagande in the sources. Many written source should be taken with a grain of salt as propaganda exists as long as there is society but written sources are not the only ones we have; and not all written sources are propaganda. So read relevant articles and books and look for agendas and you'll see how much we actually know about the past that is not rewritten
So basically, in seventy odd years it seems nothing much has changed in governmental perception of the general public’s common sense. They’ll always think we’re stupid …
0:09 "If he openly declares himself to be a Communist, we take his word for it." But I thought you couldn't trust those Communists. So if one of them says they are a communist, they must *not* be.
I think what's actually scary about this particular propaganda film is the "may be a communist" bit. That bit of fear and anxiety it instills--when you're not sure who is and who isn't--is most effective at keeping people mistrustful. It wouldn't work as well if the narrator said "most likely a communist" or "most definitely a communist".
That's the idea of events like the Red Scares. Incite paranoia in the population to prevent them from seeking more about that ideology while handling them to the authorities and calling them traitors of the nation. It was a very common psyop of the early Cold War.
Since when communists care about food lol half of China millions of Russians and polish and other nation literally starved to death and on a good Sunday they be in lines for a bread and some water not to mention working to death inside the gulag
Using the knowledge gained in Vietnam, it can be determined that if they run upon being fired at, they’re a communist, and if they don’t run, then they’re a very brave communist.
@J S if you believe the data from the wiki, it follows that the troops of the South Vietnamese army had an army of 800 thousand people in 1968, and by 1975 as many as one and a half million, and at the end of the war 1 million of them were captured by the Viet Cong
The KKK are a controlled opposition organization. Democrats are the KKK and Black Lives Matter..Then they call Republicans KKK members..see how the Communist game works?
Still is as a matter of fact. Look at terf island and who is waving the trans flags and the red banners. Look at Palestine. The resistance to capitalism is such a defining aspect of communism that, no matter how much slander, you cant scrub it off. Now for the economic aspects of the ideology, socialist states and the like, the lies are very effective. "I see the idea and morale behind communism, and i support its progressive elements, but muh human natur no food 3 gazillion". Because liberals have yet to grasp the political economy and their ignorance spans 3 centuries.
@@hiredmurderer6228 Communism is bad. Very bad... It looks good, utopian even, but it is truely a horrid way of living... Anyone who says otherwise, really dont know what they are talking about. Reread 1984 btw it better describes america than the soviets. Orwell was a communist himself and the “proles” described in 1984 perfectly parody the average American. While Winston himself is part of the ruling senate that’s why he sees it from a different perspective
Well, I mean, the Daily Worker was openly Communist. And after the fall of the USSR it was revealed that they'd been sending money through various front groups in Hollywood to the tune of 2 million dollars annually for about 5 decades. Argue if they're a threat or not all you like, but there was provably lots of Soviet communist influence in the US during the cold war.
@@tommcewan7936 I'm guessing this only happened because the government had so much control over information. Nowadays they're so afraid of the public they no longer have any real convictions.
@gaelanwhite8842 If they own a company in the SnP 500, excuse their wealth with "a small loan of 1 million dollars", avoid taxes, bribe politicians and regularly get government bailouts, they might be a capitalist.
In the late 1980's / early 1990's I worked a Maryland National Bank as a computer programmer. We had a guy on our team that was a card-carrying Communist, for real. And I asked him one time, I said, "Jack, you're a avowed Communist, a member of the party, yet you work at a bank, the most capitalist of all companies save the stock market." Before I could ask a question he cut me off and said, "the irony is not lost on me. What I do in my free time is my own business. What I do at work pays my bills. If being a teacher paid as well as a computer programmer, I would have been a teacher." He was a great guy and a pretty good programmer.
He's gotta eat somehow. But we don't know if half of his salary goes to supporting local communists or just locally helping the most disadvantaged groups.
Sounds like he lacked the courage of his convictions. "Just doing my job" is not a valid excuse. When you get to the pearly gates, Ol' St. Pete is going to "just do his job."
@@SpencerWilliamsIV Honestly I think it's the opposite. The bills are high because of the unregulated real estate market. The jobs pay little because capitalist shareholders do everything in their power to give the workers as little as possible. Paying bills just gives you more reasons to want a different economic system.
The composition of every frame is beautiful. I do not know why nowadays the ads from US army seem not care about composition (it is not because of budget since they have helicopters in ad).
