Just joined your stake pool Pratesh, thank you so much for showing me how to convert my Byron wallet to Shelley and then delegate, you earned it 😎. Keep up the great work.
Best video! I’ve been waiting so long for this news! This is great! Finally I will be able to upgrade to Shelley! Thank you so much for guiding us through it! Hope to get this done in the next few days & delegate to your pool!
Noob question... I move my ADA to my Ledger Nano S by using Yoroi. When I delegate to a Stake Pool via Yoroi, does my ADA stay offline on my Ledger or does the amount staked stay on the Yoroi wallet (i.e. accessible)? Essentially, want to know if I can secure my ADA offline on Ledger yet still stake to a pool? Thanks!!!
A great way of delegating securely from Yoroi. With or without ledger, both equally secure from protocol point of view. Ledger edition just prevents any other personal cyber attack from individual PC.
Great video. Thank you. I'm new to staking and everything I've heard has been very confusing, but your guide from opening a wallet to staking was very clear and easy to understand. I'd be opening a Yoroi wallet using my Ledger Nano S, can I please ask if god forbid my computer fails or I lose the Yoroi app, do I just open a new Yoroi wallet with my Ledger Nano S in the same way (I ask this as I note there are no phrases to write down from Yoroi)? Also once I have it connected on my computer, is it easy to add the Android app to mirror the desktop app? Or do I need to repeat a similar process on the mobile app to connect it to the Ledger?
Looks great! Curious, your stakepool looks like it is almost saturated and another one of yours has much higher percent fees, like 8%... The pool is still under the 64m threshold, but does its almost 60m saturation have an impact on rewards, or is that a good think? What about the other pool with higher fees... Which of your pools do you think someone should join that has limited ADA for now, and just getting started with all of this?
Hey, great video. Wanted to ask if you know how to buy Sundaeswap tokens once it is available using the nano s and yoroi. Would you still use the Shelly wallet and would that be able to keep your Sundaeswap tokens safe?
Hey this was super informative. I have a question though. I am currently staking on Yoroi but I have purchased a Ledger since delegating. What is the easiest way of moving my ADA from yoroi to the ledger whilst maintaining the delegation (if that is even possible)?
Adam Kemp Hi there Adam! Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately you won’t be able to maintain your delegation if you send your ADA to the ledger. It’s a different private key than the wallet created with Yoroi. After you send the funds to the ledger, you can delegate to a pool, and the delegation will start to earn rewards after approx. 15 days. Hope that helps! Cheers
Can you start a wallet with yoroi then transfer it to your ledger later on? Also does it matter which stake pool you're with? Are there any scam at all associated with that?
I just received a Ledger wallet to manage all of my crypto assets that were previously on an exchange. The only crypto I didn't have on an exchange was my Cardano ADA. I had it in a Yoroi wallet and was already delegated to a stake pool. I know I can't transfer my current ADA balance to my ledger wallet and still maintain my current delegation. I know I would need to transfer my ADA to my Ledger, then connect to my Ledger through Yoroi (basically creating a new wallet), then stake again and have to wait 15 days for my first rewards. My question is for anyone reading. What would you prefer? Just leave your ADA staked on your Yoroi wallet and keep the current delegation and not even worry about managing it on the Ledger with the rest of your crypto, or just transfer to Ledger and re-delegate on Yoroi?
Hi there, I have two questions. First , if any at all what are any difference between Daedulus and Yoroi? Secondly , if I have ADA on Yoroi via a Nano S, is there a fee to delegate to your delegation. Also, how regularly is the interest paid out? Sorry for all these questions but new to this area..Also, is there a minimum amount to delegate to yours?
Hey.I have question. If I'm already using yoroi wallet and I'm already connected to a delegate can i follow this steps to connect my ledger or I have to disconnect delegating before contacting to my Yoroi wallet and than redelegat? Also..when I will by connected to ledger will I be able to se my ADA balance on Ledger Live and also on Yoroi? Thanks for help
Hi, thanks for the videos. How do you claim your rewards in this yoroi extension? It appears rewards are compounding as you see the 'delegated amount increase after every epoch' BUT as you look up top, 'wallet' and down below 'total ada' continue to show your original amount. Furthermore if you go to SEND, the maximum you can send is the amount before all your rewards. So we aren't actual in control of the rewards????
Hey man, i am currently staked to your pool through Adalite, i was just wondering everytime i add more ADA to my adalite wallet do i then have to re stake that amount to your pool or does it just stake automatically because yours is the pool i'm delegated to?
HI my friend! Thanks so much for your support. Anytime you add more ADA to your wallet, it is automatically delegated for you. The new balance will take effect after the current and the next epoch.
I already have ADA staking in the Yoroi Wallet and I've bought a Ledger wallet. Do I have to transfer the ADA to the Ledger first, then connect it to Yoroi and make up a new hardware wallet? Thanks Dave
Great visual aid, superb work! Please help me with this quesiton: If I am delegated, but withdraws part of my ADA out, what is the sequence? FIFO (first in first out) or LIFO (last in first out)? Asking because if it is a FIFO method, then I will be recycling the first 20/25 days for reward credit.
Hello, is the Daedalus Flight a better wallet? Can we stake some with Yoroi and some with Daedalus to spread the risk of hacks? Lastly, is Daedalus available through Ledger now or in the works soon? Thank you
Hi there! Thanks so much for your questions. Daedalus Flight is the test candidate for Daedalus Mainnet. New features are first implemented there to test functionality. Please be aware the Daedalus Flight does use real ADA. You can spread your risk across multiple wallets, but you need to make sure to keep track of all the private keys for each wallet. There is more risk in losing your keys than an attacker compromising your wallet. Ledger support for Daedalus has been contracted to Vacuum labs and we should see that in about a month or so. Really great questions. Thanks so much for your support!
I don't seem to be able to get an answer from you guys. I delegated with your pool at the beginning of Jan but have not seen any rewards. Can you please tell me why?
Hi Shayan, thank you for reaching out. RU-vid comments aren’t the best for questions on delegating. There is a lot to sort through. Please consider joining our telegram group t.me/kaizencryptosupport After your initial delegation, it will take 3 epochs to begin earning rewards. After this, you will be paid after each epoch. Thanks so much for yours support my friend
Hi Kaizen, your stake pool earned me 56 ADA, so thank you..!!!! One questing what happens to the ADA rewards? Are they added to the total ADA as working as a compound interest, or do they sit looking pretty accumulating every 5 days? many thanks again. Dave
Hi there Dave! Really excited about that. Thanks so much for delegating to our pool!! They are supposed to be added back into your wallet balance and act like compounding returns. I’m not seeing that on my end, but there was an update from CH talking about Daedalus and Shelley updates. I’m thinking this is something we’ll see come out soon. Will be sure to keep you posted! Thanks so much again!
Kaizen, thank you for this. I have a question. I purchased Cardano on Coinbase and I would be interested in joining your stake on Ledger. Do I need to create a yoroi wallet? Or can I send my Cardano to Ledger directly to stake from there?
can u do this with a mac?? im not really understanding , i delegated to my ledger through yoroi but i never had the yoroi extension..? is that required to set up. tried to download extension but nothing comes up..
Hello, nice tutorial! will it be delegated forever, compounding rewards until i manually undelegate the funds? is the ADA locked for a period of time? or it can be freed anytime? Thanks
Hi there! Thanks so much for watching. The wallet will be delegated to that pool forever. The rewards will compound automatically until you move the funds to another wallet. The ADA is never locked when you delegate, you are always free to move your ADA. I hope that helps : )
Does this whole setup work with Ledger Live? I would like to set up something similar but be able to at least view my current crypto portfolio from my phone.
@@dreamsoftmrw4326 That is super disappointing. It isn't like Cardano is some obscure crypto that nobody knows. Enough for me personally to not buy a Nano S.
Hello mate; i want to stake with kaizn but i want to understand the whole staking process and whats really happening to my ADA. Can you please make me understand? Thank you
Help I created a Shelley/ Ledger wallet on Yoroi but after I hit save it went to the yoroi chrome extension page showing both my Yoroi- Ledger Byron and Yoroi Ledger Shelley wallets. It didn't go to the page to transfer it as it did in your video. Can you help?
I'm a total noob , can someone explain to me if the pools are SAFE ? And why do we get rewards from it ? Like I if delegate to your pool why do i get rewards ? i do not understand
Hi my friend. Yes to both of your questions. Any rewards that are accumulated will automatically be applied to your delegated wallet. The new balance will take effect just like a normal delegation. (After the current and next epoch). If you add more ADA to a wallet, the new balance will take effect in the above-mentioned process. No new transaction is needed to delegate the new ADA. Hope that helps!
When I confirm "export public key," nothing happens and when I go to the original Yoroi tab, there's just a perpetual spinning wheel on the "connect to ledger hardware wallet" popop
I couldn't stake my ADA. I kept getting a message that something went wrong and I should try again later. After many attempts over a couple of weeks I decided to use Chrome instead of Firefox and it worked. Don't try to do it with Firefox.
someone please help! its not letting me send out my ada from my yoroi wallet. I connected my ledger to yoroi and that seemed to work i received ada on yoroi through using my ledger nano x but now its giving me an error trying to do the passcode from ledger to send it out
Hi there! That's a great question. I can confirm that the same delegation and wallet balance will take effect if you use ledger on Adalite. Just tried it with the same wallet I used in the video. Really cool!! Thanks so much for your question!
I keep getting error transaction when i select my pool and delegate. I have my yoroi wallet connected to my ledger. Its on with bluetooth and on cardano app. While i am on yoroi wallet y select the pool and error transaction mssg pops up. I have been trying via iphone
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. I follow all these steps, but when I need to choose the "Era", the option Shelley-era appears named as "Standard". After choosing this option, it appears in my Ledger Nano S a public Key named Byron wallet. Apparently, the device or the Carnano App isn't allowing me to create a Shelley wallet. Does anyone know how can I fix it?
Can i restore my wallet currently on google chrome to a newly purchased ledger nano? Or do i need to create a new wallet, stake again, and wait for a couple of epochs to get rewards? Thanks!
