As you know, you've been my biggest inspiration and cheerleader! Thanks for being such an encouragement to so many therapists to believe in ourselves, Marie! You're the BEST!!!
I'm so happy to see this video! I'm a LICSW/hypnotherapy trained combat Vet looking to start a psychoed, guided imagery, and CBT channel. I want it for my clients, but why not give those tools for the world. This was very helpful! I have a big question: regarding patient privacy, if I'm giving this to my clients I worry if they comment that could be a patient privacy issue? Would I want to shut off comments?
Hey, I took a look at your channel and all there is, so far, is playlists. I think that you have a great idea in creating a space for vets to get some vet specific DBT/CBT/Mindfullness etc. I see this channel never responded to your question; I'm not an expert, but most people understand that comments are public, so as long as that is clear I don't see any privacy issues unless you specifically gave out private info in a comment or on your video. Might even be good to have other vets on your channel to talk openly about the issues we struggle with, and positive coping skills to deal with the demons.
THANK YOU!!!! Exactly what I was looking for...AND, look at the # of subscribers you have NOW! WOW! I love your style and that you were "just" doing this to provide FREE TOOLS to clients and therapists....THANK YOU!!! Here I am 5 years later finding you, gratefully so. LOVE YOUR STYLE, sincerity, authenticity... YOUR VOICE, especially...you are easy to listen to and so meaningfully engaging. Thank you! 😊 😊
Thank you so much for the reminder to take it slow. I just announced my channel this week and was feeling defeated because...editing! You are appreciated!
I am so happy to see you come this far and have the success that you’ve earned. I may have not been a 2010 watcher, but I came across your early videos when you very first started this channel, and it has been a cornerstone of my journey since. From me thinking about being a therapist, thru my grad school journey, then my first job working for an organization, and now finally, in 2021, having my own practice. Marie, thank you so much for all you do. You’ve been my “clinical supervisor” for the soul haha
Hey Marie, I make RU-vid video to support therapists in private practice as well and absolutely love being on here because I too remember the struggle of starting off in this field feeling clueless- and to know I’m making a difference for others is really motivating. Loved this video btw!
Such a fan of your channel - love the tips about letting your niche unfold. I started my channel a few months ago and it DEFINITELY takes a ton of energy! It's much easier when I'm enjoying the content I create. :)
This is great information as a therapist who is looking at starting a youtube channel myself. Thank you for posting and sharing this information and showing your first-ever video!
Thank you for this. I took your advice and posted something just to post. I appreciate you taking the pressure off it looking all fancy and high tech. I think that was a sticking point for me. There is definitely a different feeling after that first post. So thank you.
I'd love to hear about the specifics for therapists- What disclaimers to have? The Ethics code and RU-vid? How to handle help-seeking comments? That kind of thing. Thanks!
I've been looking at the same thing, I've noticed therapists put a disclaimer that what they say is for entertainment purposes only because we cannot give advice as we are not their therapist. I want to do it but I feel lie im walking a thin ethical line
Marie, I have a channel on Mental health after the pandemic hit, and I felt this calling to share content on emotional well-being. Do we need to create a separate entity for it or can it be a part of our practice?
