But the good thing is that now is so many tools designed for increasing your social media presence and growing your channel or new accounts on other platforms. Hi Izzy, I think the reason why you have been so successful is because you come over as a person with a great personality, very smart and most importantly, speak so eloquently with a perfect British accent. Very few true Brits can do that! Well done, you have another RU-vid subscriber!

@@venandr I interpreted Peter's true Brit comment as meaning born and raised in the UK regardless of ethnic background. I'm a true New Yorker versus all the transplants we have living here in NYC as an example. As for the accent, yeah I thinking he was being condescending on purpose lol. Not all British accents sounds good. They have their own versions of "red neck" and "ghetto" sounding accents. I think he's referring to her sounding "proper." At the end of the day he ain't wrong about what is drawing views and subscribers in.

Great guide Izzy!! As a small content creator on RU-vid, I know how hard it is to gain traction and attention from the beginning. Like many of you guys, I was tired of creating quality content almost every day and getting only a few hundred views on my best days. After that, I tried to use some tools to boost my social presence (using mostly Famester because it's really popular these days, and work for every platform). Now I don't have to worry about constant changes in algorithm, and honestly I don't regret it. It made everything a lot easier.

we are our own worst critics. i am often too hard on myself, get intimidated with the idea of failing and unconsciously procrastinate on my plans. but i have found the moral support i need and plan to keep on going. people would say this and that is already too saturated but i believe that we have equal opportunity here because viewers are not restricted to only watch x amount of channels or videos -- which is a good thing. this is by far the most detailed and informative video by a RU-vidr when it comes to growing a RU-vid channel. you really put in the work! congrats on reaching a huge milestone for your RU-vid career! keep on helping others, Dr. Izzy!

Big congrats on the 400k btw, literally double what you had when you made this video. 🎉 When it comes to controlling my emotions I always just think “Expectations are the thief of joy” So with that, in general I just make sure I know that while I love my video, I know I worked hard on it, I know it will give value, some might see it or not at all but don’t worry, you never know what could happen. I started two channels and I'm not really advertising anything yet. Just trying to find a rhythm and getting comfortable. But I'm also doing this with a strategy: I have a personal-vlog channel where I want to be able to create freely and a second channel that is very niche (social media for filmmakers). I fully believe in just starting and letting things take its own shape, like you say. :)

Hi Izzy! This is the first video I'm watching of your channel and I'm in love with your communication skills, and how you explained everything you wanted pass across. I'm a small RU-vidr, I had another channel with 2K subs, but unfortunately I lost it, so this is a new one that I started and it's been hard to grow😭😭 it's not like my first channel... This video really gave me more motivation to keep going no matter what❤ God bless you and congratulations for your 200K subs, I'm so happy for you. Glad to be part of the subs, hoping to see more of you🥰

Thankyou Izzy for making this video, where you have narrated your journey starting and maintaining a youtube channel. While sharing your very real experiences you also manage to inform, educate and encourage others to start a youtube channel of their own. I have been watching other videos on starting a youtube channel and have been coming away feeling overwhelmed with information (most of it flew over my head, and the little I did understand, I don't remember). Frankly I found most of those videos quite boring! I am not saying those videos are not good, but it is definitely not targeted to an absolute beginner. Some of the videos seem like a whole lot of points / facts just put together from other videos or websites on a similar topic. Your advise on the other hand is so simple, clear and crisp. As it comes from your own experience it feels more relatable for people like me who have upto now found the idea of starting a channel so daunting!. You have made it appear doable by anyone willing to give it a go. Also, you have such an easy and likeable narrative style that listening to you is a pleasure. I hope you will be able to do another video with your organised style and step by step approach showing us how to actually go about the channel setup process as well.

Guys -- spend more time creating yourself than you do destroying yourself. If you've been thinking about start a channel, DO IT. There's no time like now. If you don't do at least try it, you'll only regret it down the line. You might not like it. You might love it. All in all, you might as well try because you never know, it might be your best decision yet ✨
