I love that move. It was a total game changer for me. Try it and it will lock your swing into the groove and you'll gain tons of power to hit bombs from the "elastic stretch" it creates. It's surprising I don't see many coaches on RU-vid teaching this. Great explanation Kerrod!
Great tip!! I thought the the golf swing was in two parts and I struggled to start my downswing. The re-centring tip was the missing nugget I have been looking for years. Thank you!!
(Larry San Diego) Great transition drill which has alluded my game what seems like centuries and will incorporate your transition drill into my home and range practice sessions which I video to see "real vs feel!" Thanks
Power.power power. 👍 Hit my irons crisp with this tip. Good job! Only problem im having is with the 3 wood and Driver. pulling my shots with Driver. Any tips for Driver and 3 wood. Great tip.. thanks
I'm loving your videos. Just started up golf again after many years of not playing. I'm having to go back to basics as my shots are all over the place. Your delivery is very easy to understand and follow.
This is a great piece of advice from you. It eludes me as it does so many others. 15 years or so ago I videoed PGA tour players at Wentworth BMW championship and I noticed this move with all of them when playing back the video and its something that I have never really been able to do myself but I see its value. Thank you for the video lesson that gives me something to work on.
Great video! Been working on this recently myself, got sorted with some new swing techniques, and now I'm working on getting more and more power through the ball. Using ground force has been SUPER helpful for me to make the swing "One piece", seems to re-center me nicely as well. Best feeling in the world!
Hey Kerrod, I've been absorbing all the lessons. Had my first hole-in-one today. Par 3 , 145 yds, ball flew straight to the flag, one bounce and went in the hole. Thank you sir for the great tips!!!!
What a great drill! It makes your golf swing much more like a baseball swing with the foot back then stepping forward as you swing. Feels very natural. Now I just need to transition to it feeling natural with my feet planted.
Thanks for this. Can I ask, is it important that the head stay central and directly above the ball during the transition or can you allow it to slide left along with the hips?
Hi Kerrod, thank you for this great video. It is interesting that I had this very similar feeling, namely during the takeaway in a sense that when I take the club back and start turning my shoulder at the same time my pelvis moves towards the target...in a sense simantously my upperbody goes to the trailing right side and and my lowerbody (but more pelvis and hips, glutues) goes to the target....in a sense counterbalance feeling....is this what you are saying or what you are saying has nothing to do with what I tried to describe..Thanks...
Keep turning your upper body as you fall onto your left side completing the backswing. This will generate great torque and speed when you release the club through the ball. I suggest you video this move as it will provide great feedback. GL
this is the most asked question , because we poor amateurs are not able to funktion as you show us. We need a solution arround your drill - we even accept a little loss of distance. - just an easy way to get the wheight foreward to hit the ball propperly.....
Did... did you really think people don't know it should all be blended together? No one, and i mean no one, thinks there's a rigid stop and go between them. Even if you watch players this is obvious. I don't think that was nearly the great revelation you thought it was. You think walking is just one step then the other? No no... You must blend the steps. Like no freaking duh
