Here is the research from America's Test Kitchen regarding cooking lobsters with rubber bands on: "We cooked lobsters with and without rubber bands in separate pots of boiling water and then tasted both the lobster meat and the cooking water. While a few tasters claimed they noticed a subtle difference in the cooking water taken from the pot in which we cooked the banded lobsters, no one could detect any flavor differences between the lobster meat samples. Our takeaway? We’ll keep our fingers safe and continue to leave the rubber bands in place on the claws until after the lobsters are cooked."
@jacksonfirst9172 their brains dont sense pain the way complex brains do. Lobster dpnt k ow the difference between cold or boiling. They dont feel pain to even stress
@@jhwhthemerciful There is actually a big difference when cooking lobster, they're not a moron your uncalled for attack is ridiculous. Lobster cooking times go by weight. You can usually find tables online that tell you how long to cook them for, overcooked lobsters get rubbery and their taste can get ruined if you cook them too long.
Lobster is one of the few meaty foods I can eat. So I'd like to overcome the fears of cooking a live lobster... Instead, I have been buying the fresh-dead ones and freezing them until I am ready to cook them. On my birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas I have the meat department cook them for me, and then I go pick them up, and I don't freeze them because I get them quite close to these dates. So, it's easier to reheat them and enjoy. But I am celebrating a big deal this evening and I have taken my frozen lobster out of the freezer around 6:30 PM today, then I took it and put him/her on my counter around 7:30 PM. I'm waiting for him/her to finish thawing... What do I do to cook him without over cooking? I don't have that fancy steamer strainer!
I was watching Gordon Ramsey boil a lobster and I never saw that before. I never in my life saw somebody boil a crab but I'm kinda curious of the taste.
Here's how I would Steam a Lobster I 'd Name it Donald Trump and tell him Joe Biden won. Or I can do what I did to Steam my Dad Show him my Report Card (HA I KILL ME) (I'm not Blood related to the Dad I showed my Report card to)
Looks Humane to me :/ Cookin and eating an animal alive is however disgusting despite the animal feeling... its straight up weird. Now however some animals are special exception like the lobster or fishs or any sea type of food. You can be humane to them its not like a dog or something their brain and feeling are limited to surviving instincts thats it! Dog goat camel cow etc however have feelings and they feel pain and they suffer not just from normal slaughter but from how you treat them stunning them with a gun is crazy that type of pain is tremendous when cutting their neck would be the most humane way possible as you make them barely feel anything the one thing they panic from is the blood a d how they cant look around or breath.
