Use the Kane drag instead there's a video they come out with that explains how to do the Kane drag a toe pull is useless especially if you play hockey ganes
Hockey Train 2.0 has a video on how to control the puck. Watch a couple of times it's very helpful. I wish I had access to these tips years ago. I sadly didn't learn these principles til recently. I have an older brother who's an amazing hockey player but he never taught me these fundamentals as he was too busy 🤷🤷🤷
Important not to grip tight with control hand. Just lightly grab the stick. This will help keep wrists and forearms, the entire arm infact loose. Your bottom hand cup the stick keep the fingers slightly open so stick can slide free. Keep bottom grip looser than the top. The top control hand just grab keep hand relaxed, bottom hand very loosly grab so youd be able to slide index finger in between fingers and hockey stick. This will help smoothness an tension to where tension is minimal. Just enough to hold the stick. Just practice holding stick 1 hand at a time. Of course using the NHL grip
