This is a huge challenge for me! So you are saying when I can get to a ball that is coming fast and low at me, try to take the ‘pace’ off the ball by loosening my grip? And I guess continue to follow through with my paddle so I can get it over the net but not too high. Eish! That’s gonna take some practice!! 😁👍💕

Your paddle ready position is a big part of a controlled paddle swing. If your paddle is early to the spot that you begin your swing from, then you will have more control over a slower pace. If you have to move your paddle quickly, just to be at the start of your swing path; taking pace off is tricky at best.

I like that line. You have to be a master of the speed of the ball coming off your paddle. Such a simple and clear way to approach it for people. Gives them clear direction. Nice video

I think more when over reaching to take a volley at the nvz or over extending when balls get past you and you can't hit out in front.

Judging ball speed. One of the toughest things to master in pickle ball I think.

Trajectory recognition is the most important skill in pickleball. You have to know where the ball is going to be, before you can intercept it with your paddles own trajectory.

I seems to me that the case was made for controling the speed off your paddle to prevent popping the ball up.
