Puppy biting is like the easiest thing to stop. Just hold a treat when when they stop biting so hard and soften up their jaws then give it to em. When you feed them lift the bowl until they back up and wait don't let em just run at the food and go nuts. Those two things teach control and to not bite people. When they do bit you can also shriek loud like you are hurt and a lot of puppies or dogs will be startled and realize they are hurting you, or at least not like your reaction. Do those things and you will not have a bitey dog.

I have a 7 week old male Boston terrier puppy who likes to bite and nip I worry about my 4 Year old Grandaughter who lives with me I scold him with a sharp No bite!! But to no avail and whenever he starts nipping I offer him a chew toy and tell him When he’s focused on his toys I tell him good boy! I don’t take him outside he hasn’t been fully vaccinated just yet but he gets a lot of exercise here in my house... I had a female for almost 14 Years I never had a chewing or biting issue with her she was my world and I could leave the garbage tied up when ready to take out she wouldn’t touch it and never bothered my shoes or anything... but this little guy completely opposite! I am worried and I don’t want him biting my Grandaughter or anyone else... I pray I can get his biting habit under control.. I’m so happy I came across this training video thank You So much for sharing!! HELP!! 😱

This is just what I needed to get through this stage of biting from my tiny 6 week old Boston pup. Thank you! I have not had the best of luck with redirecting her and was afraid of raising my voice to her d/t the things I've read about how sensitive they are. I am older with disabilities and the exercise deal is so very challenging. Hope that my husband will do a bit of shopping for a ball for her, and not have all plushies...she can really already destroy a plushie that has already been through my last two dogs! But then my last two furbabies were over a year old when I got them as rescues. This truly is my first puppy since I was a child growing up with my sister dog, a peek-a-poo. I don't want to be like my mother and be all punishment all the time...I never had to punish my dogs, but like at work as a supervising nurse I used positive reinforcement. We may have bitten off more than we can chew getting a puppy. But we are so in love with her! I want her to be a nice and sweet girl. Gentle and loving life is what I want her to experience...and fun! With all the puppy training going on it's not so easy for us!

My Boston bites my fingers when she is excited to go outside but it hurts. She hasn't actually bitten me to puncture skin, but close

I have a boston terrier called Bucky and he was born when lockdown started so he doesn't like dogs, I hope this works!

Unless the dog is biting so hard that it hurts you, the dog is just showing affection, and I don't see any problem with the dog's behavior. Small dogs like to jump and nip at your fingers to say "HI" because we are so much bigger than they are and they have limited ways to communicate with people. People shouldn't be so uptight. Let the dog be a dog unless it is doing something truly dangerous or destructive.
